As they reposition the agency and scale rapidly, they are seeking to add a senior leader who can take their creative output to the next level, strengthen their strategic thinking and elevate the quality of everything they produce across all creative social media campaigns.
This is a key Strategic Leadership Team appointment.

The Role

The role of Social Creative Director will shape and lead the creative vision of the agency across all accounts. With a clear focus on social first thinking and organic content, you will ensure that every campaign is culturally relevant, strategically sound and executed to the highest standard.

  • A distinct creative process. You should bring your own methods, frameworks and ways of working rather than simply slotting into what already exists - we want someone who can elevate and enhance the social campaigns we deliver, enhancing our approach to creative and supporting processes that work well.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Social & cultural fluency

  • Need to live in the feed. We need someone who genuinely understands social platforms, internet culture, emerging formats and how people consume and share content.
  • Wide cultural knowledge and curiosity. We need someone who has a broad frame of reference across culture, entertainment, design, music, fashion, sport, internet culture, etc., and be able to use that knowledge to inspire the wider team.
  • Able to connect cultural moments to creative opportunities. Not just someone who knows what is happening, but someone who can translate cultural touchpoints into relevant, ownable ideas.

Leadership & management

  • Proven management experience. We need someone who has led creative teams and know how to get the best out of different disciplines and personalities. Whether it's content creators, videographers, designers or copywriters etc.
  • Able to inspire, not just critique. Feedback should make the work we produce and the people producing it even better. We want someone who can boost confidence and encourage more creative thinking. (Not someone who likes to do the "norm")
  • Low ego, highly collaborative. We don’t want a Creative Director who needs everything to be their idea. They should be confident enough to champion other people’s thinking and build on it - encouraging them.
  • Charisma and presence. Someone people naturally want to listen to, work with and be inspired by.

Agency & client experience

  • Meaningful agency experience and evidence of staying power. Ideally, you’ve spent substantial periods within agencies rather than consistently moving from role to role. As we want someone who can really help to shape the future of our creative offering (and be part of our Senior Leadership Team
  • Client Facing: You should be comfortable being in the room with senior clients, presenting and selling creative ideas, handling challenge and receiving feedback. (without taking it personally)
  • Strong pitching experience. You need to be able to articulate the thinking behind an idea and bring clients with them, engaging them throughout.
  • Not purely a behind-the-scenes creative/freelancer profile. We need evidence that you've operated as a visible creative leader with accountability for the work and the client relationship.

  • There should be a sense that you can challenge us constructively, while being equally comfortable being challenged yourself - in an open and transparent environment.
  • Ultimately, you should make the existing creative function more ambitious, more consistent and better equipped to deliver brilliant work at scale.

What is our focus?

This agency is going from strength to strength with some huge opportunities which will drive even further growth for you over the next 1-2 years. The clients they work with vary considerably but are notably “family friendly” and “social with purpose” focused campaigns.
