Job Description

About the Role

The Senior Creative, Social is a hands-on conceptual thinker and maker who can bridge the worlds of advertising and social. You’ll be as comfortable cracking a big campaign platform, activation or experiential idea as you are creating culturally relevant, platform-native social work. We’re looking for someone who understands that the best social ideas aren’t simply content, they’re ideas people want to talk about, participate in and share.

Working closely with our Creative Directors and wider creative teams, you’ll develop ideas from first thought through to execution, helping us create work that moves seamlessly between campaigns, activations, content and culture. This is a role for someone ambitious about the work. Someone with a strong conceptual advertising brain, a deep understanding of social platforms and culture, and a portfolio that demonstrates both. We want to see evidence of award-winning ideas, not just beautifully executed content.

This is a hybrid position, based out of our London office. The salary range for this position is between £70,000-78,000 GBP, annually, and a final offer is dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

Conceptual & Social Creativity

  • Develop bold, original ideas across social, campaigns, activations, experiential, digital and emerging platforms.
  • Bring the same conceptual ambition to a TikTok, Reel or reactive social opportunity as you would to a major integrated campaign brief.
  • Think beyond posts and content calendars to create social ideas that can earn attention, conversation and cultural relevance.
  • Turn cultural observations, audience behaviours, platform trends and brand truths into simple, powerful creative ideas.
  • Understand the difference between following culture and contributing to it, and constantly look for opportunities for our brands to do the latter.
  • Create ideas that can start in social and grow into something bigger, as well as finding compelling social expressions of larger campaign platforms.
  • Bring an award-winning mentality to briefs of every size, continually pushing the work beyond the expected.
  • Work closely with Creative Directors to develop, challenge and elevate ideas from initial concept through to final execution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Leadership & Creative Culture

  • Mentor and inspire junior creatives, designers and content creators, helping them strengthen both their conceptual thinking and social craft.
  • Give clear, constructive feedback that makes ideas stronger rather than simply different.
  • Help build a creative culture that is ambitious, collaborative, curious and relentlessly focused on the quality of the work.

Social & Cultural Fluency

  • Stay obsessively curious about internet culture, entertainment, technology, creators, memes, trends and emerging behaviours.
  • Understand platform conventions without becoming constrained by them.
  • Bring a strong point of view on what makes work genuinely social rather than simply advertising placed on social platforms.
  • Help educate clients and internal teams on evolving social behaviours, creative opportunities and emerging formats.

Creative Craft & Making

  • Take ideas from blank page through to execution, including concepts, scripts, social formats, treatments, storyboards, copy, creator briefs and presentations.
  • Use GenAI and emerging creative technologies as genuine creative tools to explore, prototype, make and push ideas further rather than simply make things faster.
  • Be comfortable making and prototyping ideas yourself when it helps bring thinking to life quickly.
  • Work closely with creators, designers, writers, editors, producers and production partners to maintain the integrity of an idea throughout production.
  • Understand how craft changes by platform, audience and context without compromising the strength of the underlying idea.
  • Continually experiment with new tools, formats and production approaches that could unlock new creative possibilities.
  • Bring innovation (particularly AI and emerging technologies) into both the thinking and making of our work.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years within advertising, social or creative agencies, with experience operating at Senior Creative level.
  • A conceptual creative first with a strong advertising brain and can reduce a complicated brief to a simple, powerful idea.
  • You are socially fluent and understand platforms, creators, communities, formats and internet culture deeply enough to create work that belongs there.
  • Experience moving comfortably between campaign platforms, activations and experiential ideas and fast-moving, culturally relevant social content.
  • Deep understanding of how people actually use TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit and emerging social platforms, including the behaviours, communities, creators and formats that shape them.
  • You have created, or can demonstrate the potential to create, work capable of competing at the highest creative level.
  • Experience with the nuanced rules and behaviours of individual platforms but don't allow formats or trends to become substitutes for ideas.
  • Ability to articulate ideas simply, write compelling copy and scripts, and build persuasive creative presentations.
  • Strong presentation experience with the ability to sell an idea, defend the thinking behind it and bring clients and collaborators with you.
  • Experience using tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Kling and other emerging creative technologies as part of your creative process.
