I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Job Summary
You know the feeling when you see a piece of content and think “I could have made that better” That is who we are recruiting to find.
We’re looking for a Social Creative who’s done a stint (or two) at an agency, knows the difference between content that performs and content that just exists, and is ready to stop being a small fish in someone else’s big pond. At Kaizen, you’ll join a small team and be the pond.
Working alongside the team, you’ll unleash your ideas, contribute to brainstorming sessions that spark new perspectives, and create compelling, thumb-stopping narratives across social platforms.
What you’ll actually do:
- Concept and create scroll-stopping content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and whatever platform matters next.
- Turn strategy into stand-out creative from concepting, shooting, editing, copywriting, and whatever the idea needs.
- Bring your own point of view to brainstorms. We don’t want someone who nods along, we want your perspective on how to make the best content for our clients.
- Stay embarrassingly online, (we’re talking HIGH screentimes).
- Help build out diverse formats, series, and creative territories that become synonymous with our clients.
- Work across a roster of a variety of brands, who want to be bold on social.
What you bring to the table:
- About 2+ years of experience in a social first or creative agency role, you know the pace, the client feedback loops, the “can we get this by EOD” energy, and you’re not scared of it.
- Ability to come up with unique ideas. We’re not looking for someone who can follow a trend, we’re trying to find someone that will create the next one.
- A genuine appetite to shape a team, not just slot into one.
- Sharp instincts for what makes content work.
- Comfort with editing tools and working knowledge of design/copy fundamentals.
- A strong portfolio that shows us how you think, not just what you’ve created.
- The confidence to challenge a brief when you think you’ve got a better idea, and the collaborative spirit to build on someone else’s to make it the best it can be.
