Job Description

Social and editorial is at the core of ASOS’s transformation into a leading fashion destination and cultural authority. This role is critical in ensuring that our content output is:

By supporting the execution of activity across these key areas, you will help ensure ASOS shows up in the right way, at the right time, with content that resonates and builds brand fame.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Channel Management
- Own day-to-day publishing, scheduling, and content tagging across channels, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and on-brand delivery at all times.
- Support the maintenance of the social and editorial content calendar in collaboration with the wider team.
- Take ownership of channel housekeeping across all platforms, ensuring profile icons, bios, links, pinned posts, story highlights, and descriptions are consistently up to date, on brand, and reflective of the current campaign or trading period.
- Work alongside the Community Manager where relevant to ensure published content and community engagement are aligned and tell a coherent brand story.

Content & Strategy
- Support the Senior Social Manager and wider team in interpreting briefs and building detailed comms plans that adhere to channel strategy.
- Assist in the delivery of activity across key brand campaigns and always-on franchises by clearly briefing creative teams, external agencies, and talent.
- Ensure all output is platform-native, culturally relevant, and aligned to the ASOS brand strategy and tone of voice.
- Contribute creative ideas to campaign briefs, with a strong understanding of social-first storytelling and what resonates with a 20-something fashion audience.
- Stay close to the cultural and social landscape to bring relevant ideas and reactive opportunities to the team across all three areas.
Performance & Optimisation
- Monitor content performance across key metrics (engagement, reach, saves, shares, view rate) and flag learnings and opportunities to the Senior Social Manager.
- Work with the Social Optimisation Manager to translate data into actionable improvements.
- Continuously refine formats, captions, hooks, and posting approaches to improve content performance over time.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Working
- Partner closely with Marketing, Creative, Talent, Paid Media, PR, and AMG teams to maximise campaign impact and ensure integrated delivery.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure aligned and efficient ways of working across all areas of activity.
Trend & Culture
- Stay ahead of platform updates, emerging behaviours, and cultural moments across all relevant channels.
- Proactively bring insights, trends, and reactive content opportunities into the team to keep ASOS relevant and competitive.
- Apply a strong understanding of the fashion and social landscape to all content development and briefing activity.

Qualifications
Who We Are Looking For
- 1 to 3 years experience in a social media or content role, ideally within fashion, retail, or a fast-paced brand environment.
- Strong understanding of major platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and how content performs differently across them.
- A creative and strategic problem solver with a passion for social storytelling and cultural relevance.
- Hands-on experience supporting the delivery of campaigns, talent-led and partner brand social activity.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects, briefs, and deadlines simultaneously without losing quality.
- Data-savvy mindset, comfortable using performance insights to inform decisions and improve output.
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to cross-functional working.
- Deep interest in fashion, culture, and digital trends. You are genuinely switched on to what is happening and why it matters.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working at pace in an always-on social environment.
