At MSV Housing

We’re committed to making sure our customers have good quality safe homes and our Social Investment Officer's are key to making this happen.

Role Overview

Reporting to our Community Investment Team Leader, our Social Investment Officer's are responsible for delivering MSV’s Social Investment Strategy by working with local and national partners to develop community hubs, create neighbourhood touch points, and deliver high-quality initiatives that support employment, training, volunteering, and community development. The role empowers volunteers and community groups to lead sustainable projects, secure external funding, ensure customer voice is at the heart of all activities, and capture social value outcomes to demonstrate impact and value for money.

In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams, external organisations, and local networks to maximise community impact and promote collaborative working.
  • Deliver and lead initiatives that support customers and communities, with a particular focus on employment, training, community sustainability, and generating new opportunities for the Group.
  • Manage and empower volunteers to support local projects, while ensuring equality, diversity, inclusion, health and safety, and customer-focused service delivery are embedded in all activities.
  • Secure, manage, and maximise external funding and grants, undertake social return on investment assessments, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Produce performance data and reports, represent MSV professionally across forums and partnerships, and ensure compliance with GDPR, confidentiality requirements, and corporate policies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
