About the Role

As a Social Lead, you will play a key role for one of our key pharmaceutical clients, providing strategic and operational leadership for always-on social and community management across multiple brands and European markets. You would also be expected to work across Greenpark’s other verticals of food and drink and beauty and wellbeing as well as contribute to our wider agency social offering. Based in the UK, you'll oversee community management workflows, social listening, insight and reporting, working closely with local-language community managers, creative and project management teams to deliver compliant, high-quality social at scale – all while staying ahead of platform, industry and regulatory developments.

What you’ll do

  • Lead social media strategy, planning, reporting and always-on community management across our Pharma and consumer healthcare accounts, spanning multiple brands and markets.
  • Lead, mentor and manage a multi-market team of native-language community managers, providing clear direction, quality control and consistency across markets.
  • Own and optimise community management workflows – from monitoring and engagement through to escalation and issue routing, streamlining processes to reduce manual effort and make the best use of team capacity.
  • Set and maintain governance documents, tone of voice guidelines, approved FAQs and community response matrices, ensuring all activity follows pharmacovigilance (PV) and adverse event reporting processes and clear escalation protocols.
  • Oversee the social content calendar, partnering with creative and project management teams to plan seasonal and always-on activation, and ensuring content moves through regulatory and medical approval before anything is published.
  • Own social listening and community insight: tracking conversations by topic, sentiment, brand, market and platform to uncover audience needs, emerging trends and potential issues early.
  • Lead reporting across markets, from monthly performance scorecards to quarterly business reviews, translating data into clear recommendations for community management, FAQs and future content planning.
  • Build a structured feedback loop between community management and content teams, using audience signals to shape future content and tracking recommendations through to outcomes.
  • Champion social search and platform best practice, and advise on the role of social content in AI visibility for health and pharma brands.

About you

  • Significant experience (5+ years) in social media leadership, including managing community management functions and mentoring teams across multiple markets.
  • Proven experience working in regulated industries; pharma, healthcare or consumer health experience is strongly preferred.
  • A solid understanding of pharmacovigilance, adverse event reporting and medical, legal and regulatory review processes, with experience working within formal approval workflows is preferred.
  • Experience running always-on, multi-market community management programmes, ideally across European markets and with local-language teams.
  • Hands-on experience with social listening and community management tools (such as Sprout Social, Brandwatch or Talkwalker), including topic and sentiment analysis.
  • An expert understanding of social reporting and analytics, with the ability to turn data into insight and clear recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong process and workflow management skills, with experience streamlining operations, managing team capacity and delivering against fixed approval deadlines.
  • A strong understanding of social platforms and best-practice content formats for each channel and audience; knowledge of social search and the growing role social plays in AI visibility is a huge bonus.
  • Experience in both organic and paid social preferred, with the ability to align strategies across paid, organic and web.
