At CVS Veterinary Group, our purpose is to provide the best possible care to animals. Our vision is to be the veterinary company people most want to work for.

We are an international integrated veterinary services provider which delivers to clients through four business areas; our veterinary practices, diagnostic laboratories and e-commerce division. Our success is derived from the passion our people have for animals and for making pets a priority, it's what is at the heart of our work, every day.

Summary Of Role

We have an exciting 6 Month FTC opportunity for a Social Media & Community Executive to support the delivery of CVS Vets' social media and community engagement activity across organic social channels. Working closely with the Social Media & Community Manager and Small Animal Marketing Lead and wider marketing team, the role will help create engaging content, manage day-to-day social interactions, support local practice engagement and contribute to building a trusted and recognisable CVS Vets brand.

This role will play a key part in growing audience engagement, supporting community-building initiatives and ensuring consistent social media activity across CVS Vets and Animed channels. It is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about social media, content creation and customer engagement to develop their career within a growing marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, scheduling and publishing of engaging social media content across Facebook, Instagram and emerging platforms using tools such as Sprout Social.
  • Create a wide range of on-brand content including pet care advice, practice and team stories, community-focused posts, seasonal campaigns, graphics, photography, video, reels and social copy.
  • Work closely with veterinary practices and internal teams to source content, case studies and success stories for use across social channels.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice and compliance requirements.
  • Support content creation and publishing for Animed social channels when required.
  • Manage day-to-day community engagement, responding to comments, messages and customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor online conversations, reviews, brand mentions and customer sentiment, identifying engagement opportunities, emerging trends and potential reputational risks.
  • Escalate customer complaints, clinical concerns and sensitive issues through the appropriate channels.
  • Support veterinary practices in maximising their local social media presence by providing best practice guidance, campaign assets and content templates.
  • Encourage practices to share content, stories and community initiatives that can be amplified across CVS Vets social channels.
  • Track and report on social media performance, including reach, engagement, follower growth and content effectiveness.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends, helping to identify opportunities to improve content performance and audience engagement.
  • Contribute to the growth of social media communities, increased engagement, stronger practice participation and the successful adoption of social media tools and processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
