This is a part-time, remote volunteer role (2–3 hours/week) for a Social Media Assistant at the Women In STEM Podcast. The Social Media Assistant will support social media activities, including drafting and scheduling posts, creating engaging content for multiple platforms, and maintaining a consistent brand voice aligned with the podcast’s mission. Responsibilities include monitoring social channels, interacting with followers, responding to comments and messages, and helping grow an active, inclusive STEM community. The role also involves collaborating with the host to promote new episodes, highlight guests, and help ensure that all communications reflect the podcast’s values of diversity, equity, and empowerment.

Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including clear, inclusive, and professional written communication
- Demonstrated ability in social media content creation and writing for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, or TikTok
- Foundational knowledge of social media marketing and best practices to support audience growth and engagement
- Comfort using social media tools and platforms to schedule posts and track performance
- Interest in or familiarity with STEM fields, gender equity, and community-building
- Reliable and able to commit a couple of hours per week
- Experience with basic design tools (e.g., Canva) is beneficial but not required
