About The Role
You’ll own GreenThumb’s social media presence and communications, working closely with both the GreenThumb brand team and the Keyto Group Marketing function to deliver content that builds our community, drives engagement and reflects a brand we’re all proud of.
You’ll have real ownership - managing an influencer budget, building and executing an organic social strategy, and tracking the metrics that matter. Alongside social, you’ll play a key role in brand communications including our internal newsletter, editorial content and marketing materials.
Main Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Content
- Own and manage all GreenThumb social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit and Pinterest.
- Develop and maintain the social media content calendar, creating, scheduling, publishing and monitoring content across all platforms.
- Respond to public comments, messages and customer engagement across platforms in brand voice.
- Monitor platform trends and identify opportunities to grow brand awareness and engagement.
- Create social media graphics and visual assets using Adobe Photoshop and Canva.
- Edit and produce video content for social media, including Reels and short-form video formats.
- Adapt content for different platforms and audiences.
- Liaise with external video agencies to plan and capture seasonal content; review final assets to ensure brand and campaign alignment.
- Support paid social media campaigns and ensure messaging aligns with wider marketing activity.

Influencer Marketing
- Manage a dedicated influencer marketing budget, identifying and building relationships with relevant influencers, content creators and brand ambassadors.
- Plan and coordinate influencer campaigns, managing timelines, content requirements and approvals.
- Brief production agencies to create content, including developing creative briefs and providing on-location direction where required.
- Liaise with influencers, agencies, branch partners, schedulers and lawn operatives to ensure campaigns run smoothly.
- Monitor campaign performance and content delivery, reporting on results and ROI.
Brand & Marketing Materials
- Support the creation and development of brand marketing materials.
- Review and approve creative assets to ensure consistency with brand guidelines.
- Proofread copy and marketing materials to ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Write advertorials and editorial content for print and digital publications.
- Create blog content for the GreenThumb website.
Internal Communications
- Produce GreenThumb’s bi-monthly internal newsletter, Grow & Tell.
- Gather updates and success stories from departments across the business.
- Create and distribute engaging internal communications to promote company news and achievements.
Reporting & Platform Management
- Manage the company’s Sprout Social platform and liaise with Sprout Social representatives to maximise platform usage.
- Set, monitor and report on social media KPIs (engagement rate, follower growth, reach, impressions and click-through rate).
- Use reporting, analytics, listening and monitoring tools to measure performance and identify opportunities.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on social media performance data, feeding into weekly and monthly marketing reports.
- Carry out any other duties relevant to the role as required.

Essential
About You
- Proven hands-on experience managing social media channels for a brand, agency or in-house team.
- Experience with Sprout Social or similar social media management and analytics platforms.
- Strong content creation skills across written and visual formats.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Canva for creating social graphics and assets.
- Video editing skills for Reels and short-form social content.
- Experience setting, tracking and reporting on engagement metrics and KPIs.
- Experience identifying, approaching and managing influencer or creator partnerships.
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A genuine passion for social media, digital trends and storytelling.
Desirable
- Experience with paid social media campaigns.
- Experience writing advertorials, editorial or blog content.
- Experience in a consumer brand, retail or service-sector environment.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
What We Offer
- 37.5 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00, Friday 08:30-14:30.
- Hybrid working - 1-2 days working from home per week after successful probation.
