Your new role
The Social Media & Community Marketing Manager owns organic social and community for Digital Science’s B2C portfolio. You build audiences, drive engagement, and turn users into an active community that advocates for the products they rely on every day.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You run organic social day to day, design and run user-generated content programmes, and grow the communities that make consumer products spread. You work closely with content, product marketing, and lifecycle so that social and community reinforce the wider B2C growth engine. You coordinate with the core Social Media Manager and the Brand and Communications team to keep DS’s brand voice coherent across channels.
Please note - due to business need, we can only accept applications from candidates who reside in the following locations where we have established legal entities: UK, Spain, Germany and Romania.
If you apply from outside of these areas, your application will not be considered.
Please be aware that we may close this position early if we receive a high volume of applications, so we encourage you to apply promptly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the organic social strategy and day-to-day execution for the B2C brands across relevant platforms. Grow audience, engagement, and reach against clear targets.
- Build and run user-generated content programmes. Source, curate, and amplify content from real users, and make it easy for the community to create and share.
- Own community engagement across owned channels and the third-party communities where our users already are. Respond, spark conversation, and build relationships with power users and advocates.
- Plan and manage the social content calendar. Brief and coordinate with content and design to produce platform-native assets that fit each channel.
- Track and report on social and community performance. Know which content drives growth and which does not, and turn that into a sharper approach.
- Spot and act on the trends, conversations, and cultural moments relevant to researchers and the products they use.
- Coordinate with the core Social Media Manager and Brand and Communications team to keep DS brand voice consistent while giving each consumer brand its own character.
- Support paid social amplification in partnership with growth marketing. Feed organic learnings into paid, and paid learnings back into organic.
- Use AI tools for content creation, social listening, scheduling, and performance analysis.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
