Why This Role Is Different

Our Platform Consulting Strategists (PCS) don't manage content calendars or brief creative teams.

Instead, they partner directly with clients to assess where they are today, identify where they could be tomorrow, and equip them with the knowledge, frameworks, and confidence to build stronger social brands.

Whether it's delivering an audit, running a strategy workshop, or creating a bespoke social playbook, your work will educate, inspire, and empower clients to think social-first.

What You'll Be Doing

This isn't your traditional social media role. We're looking for someone who lives and breathes social, understands platforms inside out, and can confidently help brands unlock their full potential.

You'll work directly with clients as a trusted consultant, auditing their social presence, identifying opportunities for growth, and developing practical strategies that drive results.

You'll be expected to:

  • Conduct in-depth social media audits across platforms, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and untapped opportunities.
  • Develop social playbooks, strategic frameworks, and workshop materials that educate clients on social-first thinking.
  • Lead client workshops and present recommendations with confidence, bringing platform expertise and strategic thinking to every conversation.
  • Consult with brands on how to build audiences, create platform-native content, and develop social strategies that actually work.
  • Stay on top of platform updates, trends, audience behaviors, and industry shifts, translating them into actionable advice for clients.
  • Partner with clients to solve business challenges through social, becoming a trusted advisor rather than simply a project manager.
  • Be hands-on with social media strategy, understanding what it takes to grow communities, create engaging content, and build culturally relevant brands.
  • Continuously research industries, competitors, and audiences to uncover new opportunities and fresh insights.
  • Partner with creator/influencer, analytics, creative, and media partners to provide best-in-class social content and/or recommendations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you SHOULD KNOW about VaynerMedia

Think "lab" and not "agency". We get excited about solving business problems, not creating advertising for the sake of making advertising. Our entrepreneurship DNA runs deep. We're willing to break rules, try new things, and test hypotheses if it means better understanding our craft. It's fun!

We believe 100% that brands can be built on digital platforms, and part of our model is built bottom up, flipping the traditional advertising model and process on its head. We don't play to agency/industry norms, and our culture and energy reflect that.

Our environment (and pace) feels much more like a start-up than most agencies you might be used to. Hopefully, that, and the opportunity to collaborate with the talented and enthusiastic crew, work with big brands excites you, as it does us. We can't wait to meet you.

VaynerMedia is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
