The Performance Marketing Team plays a central role in growing Scotland’s visitor economy by driving effective, insight-led marketing across domestic and international markets. Sitting within the Marketing Department, the team brings together strategic planning, social media, influencer marketing, and digital analytics to deliver integrated, always-on campaigns.
Their focus is on connecting audience insights, creative delivery, and performance measurement to ensure marketing activity is targeted, impactful, and measurable. By leveraging data, partnerships, and digital platforms, the team enhances Scotland’s global visibility, adapts to changing audience behaviours, and maximises return on investment, supporting sustainable tourism and events that contribute positively to Scotland’s economy.

- Create and deliver high-quality, social-first video content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
- Develop creative, trend-led content ideas that drive engagement and audience growth
- Produce agile, real-time content to support campaigns and key marketing moments
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content aligns with brand, strategy, and campaigns
- Use performance insights to continually optimise and improve content

Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Grade: Grade E, (£36,614 - £40,092)
This role can be based out of any VisitScotland office location across Scotland. VisitScotland operates a hybrid working culture, partially office and partially home-based.

QUALIFICATIONS
What you must have
- Proven experience producing short-form social video end-to-end
- Strong mobile-first filming and editing skills
- Deep understanding of platform-native content (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) including trends, hooks, and pacing
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Analytical and strategic skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Self-starter and self-learner
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
- A valid driving licence
