The ATML Choir CIC is a community-focused, inclusive choir created to combat loneliness and support mental health through shared musical experiences. The organization welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or social class, and values belonging over labels. By using medleys—unique combinations of different songs—as its signature style, the choir promotes cohesion and unity through diverse musical genres. Whether someone is a professional vocalist or sings only for fun, they are invited to join a supportive community that believes collective singing can be a powerful remedy for isolation. The ATML Choir CIC aims to bring audiences and performers together as one, making the world more connected and compassionate.
Role Description
As a new organization, we are looking for a Volunteer Content Creator. The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for planning, creating, and publishing engaging content that reflects the choir’s mission of inclusion, community, and mental health support. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Developing content ideas for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X

The role involves coordinating with choir leadership to promote events, rehearsals, and performances, showcasing member stories, and highlighting the medley-focused musical style to grow online engagement. The Social Media Content Creator will monitor analytics, respond to comments and messages, and adjust content strategies based on audience insights. This is a part-time hybrid role based in Manchester, with a mix of in-person work (e.g., filming rehearsals and events) and remote work from home.
Qualifications
- Ability to plan and execute social media content across key platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X), including basic knowledge of platform best practices and trends.
- Skills in creating and editing short-form video, photos, and simple graphics using common tools (e.g., Canva, mobile video editing apps, or equivalent software).
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write clear, engaging, and inclusive captions and posts aligned with the choir’s tone and values.
- Understanding of online community-building, with the ability to engage audiences, respond to comments, and foster a welcoming digital environment.
- Interest in or experience with mental health awareness, community initiatives, or arts and culture projects, with sensitivity to diverse lived experiences.
- Ability to work independently, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate with team members during in-person sessions in Manchester.
- Comfort attending rehearsals and events to capture content; willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends when performances or key activities occur.
- Basic familiarity with social media analytics and insights to track performance and suggest improvements to content strategy.
