We combine bold ideas, smart media, data-led strategy and creative storytelling to deliver meaningful results for clients across the UK and internationally.
Our work spans paid media, SEO, social media, branding, websites, content creation and digital strategy. But we are more than a typical agency: we are a close-knit collective built on loyalty, transparency, trust and a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.
Brands are stronger with The Herd.
The role
We are looking for a talented, proactive and creative Content Marketing Executive to join The Herd’s growing creative team.
This is an exciting hands-on role for someone who loves creating content that gets noticed. You will support the planning, creation and delivery of engaging digital content across a range of client sectors, platforms and campaigns.
From social media graphics and short-form video to email campaigns, blogs, presentations and branded marketing materials, you will help bring ideas to life in a way that is visually strong, on-brand and commercially effective.
You will be confident using Canva and The Adobe Creative Suite, with a good eye for design, attention to detail and an understanding of what makes content perform online. You will also be happy working in a fast-moving agency environment, balancing multiple deadlines while bringing fresh ideas to the table.
Key responsibilities
- Create high-quality, engaging social media content for a range of client accounts across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X.
- Design branded graphics, carousels, social assets, digital adverts, presentations, campaign materials and simple print collateral.
- Use Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop to produce professional visual content in line with client brand guidelines.
- Support the creation and editing of short-form video content, reels, animations and campaign assets where required.
- Write and adapt clear, engaging copy for social posts, blogs, email campaigns, website content, case studies, PR activity and digital advertising.
- Help plan monthly content calendars that align with client objectives, key dates, campaigns, audience needs and wider marketing activity.
- Research trends, competitors, industry news and content opportunities to keep client activity relevant, creative and timely.
- Work closely with account managers, paid media specialists, web developers and the wider creative team to ensure content supports broader campaign goals.
- Assist with content scheduling, publishing, community management and reporting where required.
- Maintain consistency across tone of voice, visual identity and messaging for each client.
- Support content shoots, events and client meetings, including capturing behind-the-scenes content when needed.
- Use performance insights to understand what content is working and help shape future creative decisions.
- Keep up to date with changes across social media platforms, content formats, design trends, AI tools and digital marketing best practice.
- Help protect and enhance The Herd’s own brand through strong agency social content, thought leadership, case studies and marketing activity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
