Social Media & Content Manager

Percival, London Studio, Hackney Wick

About Percival

Percival is a London menswear brand known for a distinctive point of view, considered design and a strong and engaged following. The business operates from a studio in London with a small, closely collaborative team, where individual ownership is high and decisions are made quickly alongside long range planning.

The role

Percival is looking for a Social Media & Content Manager to take ownership of the brand's organic social channels, with the emphasis firmly on making content as well as scheduling it. We want someone who can take the channels and run with them, shooting and editing social-first video to the standard the brand expects, and doing it in a way that feels unmistakably Percival. The seasonal and campaign work is produced by the wider team and this role contributes to it, but the day-to-day rhythm of the channels is yours to own. Alongside the main Percival accounts, the role also looks after PCVL and supports the founder's channel.

Key responsibilities

Content creation

  • Produce the baseline organic content that keeps Percival's channels consistently active, shooting and editing social-first video in the studio, on set and on location
  • Write and shape the content, from hooks and scripts through to storyboarding social video before it is shot
  • Contribute to campaign and seasonal shoots led by the wider team, capturing social-specific material on the day and adapting existing assets for social afterwards
  • Develop content that brings the audience closer to the product and the people behind it, including the design process, the studio, the supply chain and the manufacturing behind each collection
  • Sit in creative and content meetings from the outset, so social is considered alongside the main campaign rather than after it

Channel management

  • Own the organic content plan and publishing schedule across Instagram and TikTok, from concept through to publication
  • Run Stories daily, both planned and reactive, covering behind the scenes, product pushes, reshares and anything worth jumping on that week
  • Grow PCVL as a channel in its own right, planning and producing its content and helping shape a distinct identity for it as it scales
  • Support the founder's channel, developing ideas and formats, filming with him regularly and helping bring the founder and studio side of Percival to the audience
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual standard across everything published
  • Identify emerging platform trends and formats, and judge their relevance to Percival before adopting them

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Design and assets

  • Create and artwork the assets needed for social posting, including adding text, resizing and building simple assets from scratch
  • Work closely with our in-house Graphic Designer on everything beyond that, briefing clearly and early, particularly around launches, promotions and sales

Community management

  • Act as the brand's voice within the community, responding to comments and direct messages in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Monitor sentiment and conversation across channels and escalate issues where necessary

Creators and influencers

  • Work with the Head of Marketing on creator and influencer activity, bringing ideas and names to the table and supporting content from brief through to delivery
  • Keep a live view of the creators, talent and accounts worth knowing, and a clear sense of who fits the brand and who does not

Supporting wider marketing activity

  • Supply organic content to the paid media, email and on-site teams

Reporting

  • Track channel and content performance against agreed measures and present findings and recommendations to the wider marketing team on a regular basis. Support on commercial interpretation will be provided by the Head of Marketing

Candidate profile

  • The ability to take an idea from concept through writing, shooting and editing to publication, working at pace and to deadline
  • Strong working knowledge of Instagram and TikTok, including current formats, conventions and audience behaviour
  • Confidence creating and artworking social assets, and briefing a designer for anything beyond that
  • Sound editorial judgement, with the ability to tell the difference between content that is simply popular and content that is right for the brand
  • A genuine feel for brand, and the appetite to own a channel rather than execute against someone else's plan
  • Experience of, or a clear aptitude for, community management
  • A working knowledge of the creator and influencer landscape
  • Confidence discussing content performance and a willingness to develop commercial understanding

How the team works

Percival operates a small and fluid team where job titles are held loosely. The successful candidate will be given considerable ownership at an early stage and will be involved in work that can extend beyond the boundaries of this description.

Working pattern

Social media does not align neatly to standard office hours. Content opportunities and community activity arise during evenings and at weekends, particularly around shoots, events and product launches, and the role requires someone comfortable working in this way. Percival operates flexibly in return and supports time taken back accordingly.
