Social Media & Content Marketing Executive

Location: Stockport
Salary: Up to £45,000 – Depending on experience
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm

We're partnering with a leading international charity to recruit a Social Media & Content Marketing Executive to join their growing digital & communications team.

This opportunity is ideal for a creative and commercially aware social media professional who can combine engaging content creation with data-driven decision making. You'll be responsible for growing online audiences, increasing engagement across social channels, developing targeted content strategies, and using audience insights to improve supporter journeys and campaign performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow social media channels across multiple platforms.
  • Create engaging, digital-first content that drives reach, engagement and conversions.
  • Build and nurture online communities through effective community management.
  • Monitor and analyse performance, providing insight-led recommendations to improve results.
  • Develop audience segmentation strategies to deliver more personalised communications.
  • Utilise social listening tools to identify trends, opportunities and audience behaviour.
  • Support CRM integration activities, including working with Salesforce and social platform data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support wider communications and fundraising campaigns.
  • Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude & Canva AI to support content creation and reporting.

About You

  • Must have up to 4 years’ experience in a Social Media, Content Marketing or Digital Marketing/Digital Ecommerce role
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, audience growth and community engagement
  • Confident using analytics and reporting tools to measure campaign performance
  • Experience with audience segmentation and social listening platforms
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
  • Comfortable using AI-powered marketing tools within day-to-day workflows
  • Excellent communication, copywriting and stakeholder management skills
  • Previous charity, NGO or not-for-profit experience would be advantageous
