Role Overview
Seeking a skilled and reliable volunteer to manage our social media presence and produce content for our website. Help us communicate our educational mission and engage wider audiences through thoughtful engaging storytelling.

What Are We Looking For?
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva or a similar platform.
- Ability to create clear, engaging, and visually consistent social media posts.
- Good written English and the ability to adapt information into concise, accessible content.
- Some familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Basic understanding of social media scheduling, captions, hashtags, and audience engagement.
- Ability to work from existing material, such as programme information, photographs, reports, or event details.
- Experience creating content for a charity, community organization, educational project, or small organization would be helpful, but is not essential.

What Will You Be Doing?
We are seeking a Social Media Content Producer to take ownership of planning, creating, and publishing Coempowered’s social media content.
As a small, volunteer-led organization, we need someone who can work independently, lead this area of work, and move tasks forward without requiring constant supervision. They will collaborate with directors, facilitators, and other team members to gather information and coordinate content.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Developing and implementing a practical social media strategy aligned with our aims and audiences.
- Creating and maintaining a clear content calendar.
- Planning, designing, writing, and publishing at least one post each week on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Creating blog posts and updating website content when needed.
- Producing graphics and visual materials using Canva or similar tools.
- Adapting programme activities, events, educational materials, and organizational updates into accessible content.
- Working with individuals and teams to collect information, photographs, quotations, and updates.
- Maintaining a consistent visual style, tone, and organizational message.
- Following safeguarding, confidentiality, copyright, and consent requirements.
- Monitoring engagement and recommending practical improvements.
- Keeping the shared task tracker updated and submitting a weekly activity log.

Expected Deliverables Include
- An initial social media strategy.
- A regularly updated content calendar.
- Three published social media posts each week.
- Organized Canva templates and files.
- Website or blog content as required.
- Basic engagement reports.
- Clear records of completed and upcoming work.
This is a part-time, flexible volunteer role requiring approximately 6 hours per week, conducted entirely online. The volunteer will work closely with Coempowered’s directors and communications team, contributing directly to the organization’s growth and visibility.
This position offers valuable experience in digital communications within an educational non-profit environment and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to an organization committed to empowering young people through philosophy and critical dialogue.
