WHO we are… The vision of House Digital and what we are all about.
House Digital is an award-winning, Prolific North Top 50 Digital Agency. We are a full-service digital marketing and training company, delivering strategic, innovative, and results-driven solutions. We specialise in integrated, multi-channel campaigns and operate heavily in e-commerce. We have a scientific approach to digital marketing, with a huge emphasis on hypothesis testing and learning, to be better able to predict results for our clients. Our strategy is to reduce the risk of spending BIG on digital by making activity and results as predictable, controllable, and accurate as can be.
WHY you're here… The core purpose of your job role.
The Social Media Content Specialist is responsible for bringing House Digital's own brand voice to life across our social channels. This is a hands-on, creator-led role: you'll plan, shoot, edit and publish content that shows off our people, culture, client wins and expertise, growing our presence and reputation as an employer and an authority in digital marketing.
This isn't limited to a single channel or brand. Alongside House Digital's main social presence, you'll take ownership of a handful of other social streams tied to the wider House Digital group, each with its own audience, tone, and content needs, so you'll be comfortable managing several channels and content plans in parallel.
You'll take full ownership of our social strategy and output, balancing creative flair with a clear plan, moving quickly to spot trends and turn ideas into content, and confidently working solo with camera and editing tools to get the shot rather than relying on others to create for you.
WHAT you're here to do… The responsibilities, duties & tasks you are expected to deliver when performing your job role.
Content creation & production (40%)
- Plan, shoot, and edit original video and photo content for House Digital's social channels, working independently with your own camera, phone, and editing setup.
- Generate a steady stream of creative content ideas, from trend-led short-form video to behind-the-scenes, team, and client-success content.
- Direct and occasionally feature colleagues and clients on camera, putting people at ease and drawing out authentic, engaging moments.
- Edit content to a high standard for each platform, including captions, sound design, pacing, and on-brand graphics.
- Keep on top of platform trends, formats, sounds, and features, and adapt House Digital's content approach accordingly.
Strategy & planning (20%)
- Own the social media content strategy and calendar across all House Digital channels (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Set clear goals for each channel and campaign, and plan content that supports brand awareness, recruitment, and new business.
- Balance planned, pre-produced content with reactive, in-the-moment opportunities.
- Feed insights from performance data back into future content plans.
Channel management (15%)
- Own the day-to-day management of House Digital's main social media channels, including scheduling, publishing, and community management.
- Take full ownership of a handful of additional social streams across the wider House Digital group, each with its own audience and tone, ensuring every channel is planned, populated, and maintained to a high standard.
- Monitor, respond to, and grow engagement with our audience across all platforms.
- Ensure a consistent tone of voice, visual identity, and posting cadence appropriate to each individual channel.
- Track and report on performance across all channels, using insights to improve reach, engagement, and follower growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
