About Watch Life
Watch Life is a luxury watch business specialising in buying and selling watches from brands including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and Richard Mille. Alongside the sales side of the business, content is a major part of our brand. We create regular YouTube videos, Instagram Reels, Stories and short-form content around watches, deals, customers and the day-to-day life of the business.
The Role
We are looking for a creative, proactive and commercially minded Social Media & Content Strategist / Creator to join our London team. This role sits between sales and production. You will be responsible for helping decide what content we make, why we make it, how we turn everyday activity in the business into engaging content, and how we significantly increase our daily output.
You will work closely with our salesperson and videographer/editor, while also being comfortable creating content yourself and appearing on camera. We are not looking for someone who simply schedules posts. We want someone who constantly sees opportunities for content and can turn ideas into execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the social media content strategy for Watch Life UK, particularly Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
- Create weekly and monthly content plans with a clear strategy behind what we are producing.
- Generate original video concepts, hooks, recurring series and formats around watches, customers, deals and the day-to-day business.
- Help increase our short-form output to multiple pieces of content per day without sacrificing quality.
- Find multiple content opportunities from a single watch, deal or event rather than treating each as one piece of content.
- Write strong hooks, talking points and simple scripts that feel natural rather than overly scripted or sales-focused.
- Be confident appearing on camera and presenting watches or other content when appropriate.
- Brief and collaborate with our videographer/editor on what needs to be filmed, the intended hook, key shots, format and platform.
- Work with our salesperson to turn real enquiries, deals, customer questions and product knowledge into useful content.
- Spot reactive content opportunities during the working day and be willing to pick up a phone or camera and create them.
- Manage the content calendar, publishing schedule and consistency across key social platforms.
- Review content performance including retention, views, shares, saves, follows and enquiries, and use that data to improve future content.
- Develop creative concepts for paid social campaigns, particularly campaigns designed to generate watch sellers and buyers.
- Ideally be comfortable using Meta Ads Manager, testing different creatives and understanding basic paid-social performance metrics.
- Keep up with changes in social media formats and trends while ensuring Watch Life maintains its own identity and tone.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We’re Looking For

- Excellent idea generation and the ability to turn ordinary business activity into interesting stories and videos.
- A strong understanding of hooks, storytelling, audience retention and platform-native content.
- Confident and natural on camera.
- Comfortable creating quick content independently, including filming on a phone when required.
- Proactive and self-starting. You should not need to wait for someone else to tell you what to film every day.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding that content should ultimately help grow the brand and business.
- Organised enough to manage a high-volume content calendar while still reacting quickly to opportunities.
- Able to work collaboratively with salespeople, videographers/editors and company leadership.
- Good written communication and the ability to adapt ideas into concise captions, hooks and scripts.

- An interest in watches.
- Experience working with a founder-led or personality-led brand.
- Experience creating content that balances entertainment, education and commercial objectives.

What Success Looks Like
- Watch Life produces significantly more high-quality short-form content every week.
- The team has a consistent pipeline of ideas rather than relying on last-minute inspiration.
- Individual watches, deals and business moments are turned into multiple strong pieces of content.
- Our content becomes more recognisable, engaging and story-driven while remaining natural and authentic.
- Organic content produces stronger engagement, audience growth and genuine sales or seller enquiries.
- Paid social creative is regularly tested and improved based on real performance.
The Person
The ideal person is someone who can look at a watch sitting on the desk and immediately think of five different videos we could make with it. You should be creative enough to generate the ideas, organised enough to turn them into a plan, confident enough to present them on camera and analytical enough to understand what worked afterwards.
You do not need to arrive with expert-level watch knowledge. We can teach you the products and the industry. What is much harder to teach is curiosity, creativity, initiative and a genuine understanding of social media.
