SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
LOCATION
United Kingdom (fully remote, open to candidates anywhere in the UK)
PAY
£18.50 per hour plus holiday pay (£36,075 per annum full-time equivalent at 37.5 hours, paid pro rata)
CONTRACT
Temporary, part-time. Approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, worked across Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday every week. Fixed term until the end of 2026 with potential for extension.

Social Media Manager (client side)
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The role will suit an experienced social media coordinator who is comfortable working autonomously over the weekend and wants a remote, part-time position with a defined four-day pattern.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Social Media Coordinator oversees the charity's social media activity across multiple platforms via Sprout Social from Friday to Monday, responding to comments, moderating engagement and flagging risks to the Social Media Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor social media activity across the charity's platforms using Sprout Social.
- Respond to comments on the charity's pages in a professional and positive manner to build engagement.
- Analyse and moderate comments, remove spam and highlight risks where required.
- Carry out other social media duties as directed by the Social Media Manager.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Previous social media coordination experience. This is essential, as the role is worked autonomously over the weekend.
- Availability to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday every week. Applications will only be considered from candidates able to commit to this pattern.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Solid general IT skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- UK residency and the right to work in the UK for the duration of the contract.
- A stable home internet connection and a quiet workspace.

DESIRABLE
- Experience with a social media management platform such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite or Sprinklr. Training is given on Sprout Social where the social media background is in place.
- Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
- Fully remote working from anywhere in the UK.
- A fixed Friday-to-Monday pattern with some flexibility for additional hours where needed.
- Holiday pay on top of the hourly rate.
- A fixed-term assignment to the end of 2026 with potential for extension.
