There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK's largest house builders. Our Head Office, located in Woolsington, Newcastle, is looking to recruit a Group Social Media Coordinator on a fixed-term basis for 15 months.
The Role
The role of Social Media Coordinator (Group Head Office) is to lead on the creation and implementation of engaging content across multiple social media channels for Bellway, ensuring consistent messaging and branding across multiple platforms.
A passion for social media and digital storytelling is a must; you will be a confident content creator who is comfortable both behind and in front of the camera, creating authentic content that showcases our homes, developments, customers and people. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will shape and deliver social media strategies aligned to Bellway's business priorities and brand objectives. You will also create and add content for our sister brand, Ashberry Homes Facebook and Instagram pages as part of this role.
A can do attitude with a willingness to travel regularly to developments, divisional offices and events across the UK, you will work closely with marketing, sales and external partners to capture compelling content and support both Group and Divisional campaigns.
Principal Accountabilities Of The Role Include
- Work closely with the Marketing Team, agencies, influencers, Bellway's ambassador community and our other Social Media Coordinator to help create, deliver, monitor and review content across social media channels.
- Support the delivery of a cohesive social media plan aligned to Bellway's strategic business objectives, marketing priorities and brand content pillars.
- Create engaging social-first content across video, photography and written formats, confidently presenting to camera where required.
- Collaborate with influencers and build relationships with Bellway homeowners to extend organic reach and engagement.
- Be confident in responding to social media messages, comments and reviews and ensure enquiries are directed to the appropriate division or department.
- Use Photoshop, CapCut and/or Canva (or in-platform editing tools) with strong editing skills across video and photography.
- Excellent copywriting and attention to detail.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across multiple social media platforms.
- Capture and edit original content on-site at developments, divisional offices, events and customer homes to create content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Devise innovative ways to grow audiences, increase engagement and strengthen brand awareness.
- Organise and host influencer, ambassador and content creation events.
- Stay updated on social media trends and best practice, helping to shape content calendars aligned to wider marketing campaigns and being opportunistic where appropriate.
- Report regularly to the wider Sales and Marketing team on campaign performance, key metrics and insights, sharing recommendations with the wider business.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with external social media, content, PR and creative agencies, ensuring activity is delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Support divisions and colleagues with advice, guidance and training on creating effective social media content.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working within a Social Media, Content Marketing or Digital Marketing team with a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrable experience creating engaging social media content, including video, photography and copywriting.
- Experience developing and delivering effective social media campaigns across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Experience working with and managing external agencies, freelancers, influencers or content creators.
- Experience supporting or managing strategic social media plans linked to wider business objectives and marketing priorities.
- A good understanding of Photoshop, Capcut and Canva, plus in platform editing tools for creating and editing social media content.
- Experience using social media management and reporting tools such as Iconosquare or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the construction, property or lifestyle sectors would be advantageous.

- Event organisation and ambassador/influencer management experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and comfortable working independently as well as within a team.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Bellway's divisional network to capture content and support campaigns.
- Proficient use of social media platforms including TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.
The Role and Working Conditions
- Office-based role that includes regular travel, when required.
- Willing to be flexible in respect to day-to-day duties and hours worked.
