Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for digital media? Join the Sheffield Students’ Union as our new Digital Content Creator and help put student life in the spotlight.

In this fast paced, exciting role, you’ll oversee the creation and curation of engaging content for our digital platforms. You’ll generate fresh content ideas, and capture and produce high-quality, videography and photography. You’ll manage and develop our social channels; planning, scheduling, and reviewing content to constantly evolve our approach. Working closely with our Marketing Coordinator, Graphic Designer, and other staff and students, you’ll showcase our diverse offer and the experiences of our student community. You’ll support others to create great content and grow their understanding of social media best practice.

Key Duties Include:

  • Developing and producing creative, original, and engaging content ideas in response to varied briefs.
  • Capture and edit high quality video and photo content for use across our channels.
  • Use creative/editing platforms effectively and efficiently to produce attractive and timely content.
  • Plan and populate the SU’s social calendar, and have fresh, relevant, and engaging content.
  • Monitor, collaborate with, and provide guidance for sub brand channels.
  • Recruit, coordinate, and support student content creators to produce authentic content from a student perspective.
  • Support our Student Officers, alongside other student leaders and members, to be highly visible across our channels.
