Social Media Creative & Performance Lead

About Everwise

Everwise is a digital platform that transforms books into interactive communities. We help authors build stronger relationships with their readers through exclusive videos, live events, discussions, and direct interaction—all centred around their books. We operate through a B2B2C model, partnering with authors and publishers while creating an engaging consumer experience for readers. We are looking for a highly creative, commercially minded Social Media Creative & Performance Lead to build Everwise’s presence across TikTok and Instagram and turn outstanding content into measurable growth.

About the role

This is a hands-on creative and performance role for someone who can take full ownership of our social media content—from the initial idea to appearing on camera, producing the video, launching paid campaigns, analysing the results, and applying those insights to future content. You will become one of the public faces of Everwise, creating original, engaging videos that bring our brand to life and connect with authors, readers, and book lovers. You must understand what makes short-form content compelling and shareable, but also have the technical paid-media expertise to evaluate performance beyond views and likes. You will use data from Meta Ads and TikTok Ads to continuously improve our messaging, creative concepts, targeting, and campaign results.

What you’ll do

  • Lead Everwise’s creative strategy across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other relevant social platforms.
  • Develop original, culturally relevant content concepts designed to capture attention and encourage engagement and sharing.
  • Confidently appear on camera and communicate the Everwise brand in a natural, engaging, and memorable way.
  • Own the complete content-production process, including research, ideation, scripting, filming, presenting, editing, and publishing.
  • Translate Everwise’s product, mission, and benefits into content that resonates with readers, authors, and publishers.
  • Build and manage a consistent content calendar while remaining flexible enough to respond quickly to trends and opportunities.
  • Launch, manage, and optimise paid campaigns through Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager.
  • Design creative testing strategies across hooks, formats, messaging, audiences, calls to action, and landing-page journeys.
  • Analyse campaign metrics such as watch time, retention, click-through rate, conversion rate, CPA, CAC, ROAS, and creative fatigue.
  • Turn performance data into clear creative decisions and apply those insights to future organic content and paid campaigns.
  • Identify successful organic content and adapt it into effective paid advertising creative.
  • Collaborate with Everwise’s founders and wider team to align content with product launches, partnerships, and growth priorities.
  • Develop a repeatable creative system that allows Everwise to produce, test, learn, and improve quickly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrable experience creating high-performing short-form content for TikTok and Instagram.
  • Exceptional spoken and written English, with the confidence and personality to present naturally on camera.
  • Strong creative instincts and an excellent understanding of hooks, storytelling, pacing, audience retention, and platform-native content.
  • Advanced, hands-on knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager.
  • Experience setting up, managing, analysing, and optimising paid social campaigns—not simply briefing an external agency.
  • A strong understanding of performance marketing, attribution, audience targeting, testing methodologies, campaign structure, and budget optimisation.
  • The ability to interpret data and turn it into specific improvements to creative, messaging, targeting, and campaign strategy.
  • Experience editing short-form videos using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software.
  • Experience working with a B2C or B2B2C digital app, ideally involving consumer subscriptions, marketplaces, communities, media, entertainment, education, or creator-led products.
  • A proactive, experimental mindset and the ability to take an idea from concept to execution independently.
  • A genuine interest in social media culture and an instinct for emerging formats, conversations, and trends.

It would be a strong advantage if you have

  • Experience growing an early-stage consumer app or digital platform.
  • Experience marketing to more than one audience—for example, consumers alongside creators, professionals, or business partners.
  • A portfolio of videos in which you personally appear on camera.
  • Evidence of content that has achieved strong organic reach, engagement, or conversions.
  • Experience building creator, influencer, or user-generated content campaigns.
  • An interest in books, authors, online communities, or the creator economy.

How success will be measured

Success in this role will include:

  • Consistent production of distinctive, high-quality social content.
  • Growth in relevant reach, engagement, followers, and brand awareness.
  • Improvements in audience retention and content performance.
  • Efficient acquisition of new Everwise users through paid social campaigns.
  • Continuous improvement in CPA, CAC, conversion rate, and return on advertising spend.
  • The ability to turn campaign insights into stronger creative ideas and future results.

Who will thrive in this role?

You will thrive at Everwise if you are equally excited by a brilliant creative idea and the data that proves whether it worked. You are comfortable being both the strategist and the creator. You can develop the concept, step in front of the camera, produce the content, launch the campaign, analyse its performance, and decide what should happen next. You are curious, resourceful, comfortable experimenting, and motivated by the opportunity to shape the voice and growth of an ambitious digital brand from an early stage.

Hours and compensation

This is a UK-based freelance role requiring approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility to organise working hours around agreed objectives, meetings, and deadlines.

Compensation consists of a £1,300 monthly base retainer plus performance-related bonuses of up to £450 per month, bringing the maximum monthly compensation to £1,750.

The successful candidate must have, or be willing to establish, an appropriate UK freelance setup—such as registering with HMRC as self-employed or operating through a UK-registered business. You will be responsible for submitting invoices and managing your own tax and National Insurance obligations.
