H6 Marketing & Design Ltd

Manchester / Hybrid
Part-time or Full-time options available

H6 Marketing is looking for an experienced Social Media & Digital Marketing Executive to join our growing team.
This is a key role within the business, supporting the day-to-day delivery of marketing activity for our clients and helping us continue to grow the agency.
We work predominantly with B2B businesses, creating and managing marketing that helps them stay visible, build credibility and support their wider sales activity.
We’re looking for someone who understands social media properly – not just how to create a post, but how to build a consistent presence, understand an audience and create content that helps a business grow.

The Role

You’ll work closely with Eddie and the wider H6 team to plan, create and deliver marketing activity across a portfolio of clients.
Social media will be at the heart of the role, with responsibility for helping manage client accounts across platforms including:

  • LinkedIn
  • Instagram
  • Facebook

You’ll also support client email marketing, content creation and wider digital campaigns.
We don't expect you to arrive as an expert in every area. Strong social media experience and design skills (canva or adobe suite) is essential.

What You'll Be Doing

Social Media

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of client social media accounts, including:

  • Developing social media content plans
  • Researching clients, industries and relevant topics
  • Creating engaging B2B social media content
  • Writing social media copy
  • Designing graphics and assets in Canva
  • Scheduling and publishing content
  • Managing LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook accounts
  • Identifying opportunities for new content
  • Helping develop company pages and individual LinkedIn profiles
  • Monitoring account performance
  • Reviewing what is and isn't working
  • Helping grow reach, engagement and relevant audiences
  • Supporting monthly client reporting

We want someone who can look at a client and think beyond:
“What should we post this week?”
You should be able to think about their audience, objectives, positioning and what content will genuinely help build their presence.

Email Marketing

You'll also help us deliver email marketing campaigns for clients.
This may include:

  • Creating and building email campaigns
  • Writing and adapting email content
  • Designing email graphics
  • Managing newsletters
  • Segmenting audiences
  • Scheduling campaigns
  • Reviewing open rates, click rates and engagement
  • Supporting automated email campaigns and nurture sequences

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Experience with platforms such as HubSpot, Mailchimp or similar would be useful, but email marketing experience isn't essential – we will invest to train the right person.

Content Creation

As H6 grows, we're producing more original content for clients.
Depending on your experience, you'll have opportunities to support:

  • Photography and video content
  • Short-form social video
  • Reels
  • Client interviews
  • Case studies
  • Behind-the-scenes content
  • Event and exhibition content
  • Video editing

Video editing experience would be a big advantage, but isn't essential.

What We're Looking For

The most important requirement is proven experience managing social media for businesses.
Ideally, you'll have experience working with B2B companies and understand that B2B social media is about more than generating likes.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate experience in areas such as:

  • Managing business social media accounts
  • Growing social media audiences
  • Creating B2B content
  • LinkedIn marketing
  • Instagram and Facebook management
  • Content planning
  • Copywriting
  • Social media reporting and analytics
  • Canva design

You'll need strong Canva skills and a good eye for design.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite – particularly Photoshop, Illustrator or Premiere Pro – would be a bonus, but isn't essential.

Experience with video editing software such as Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar would also be beneficial.

The Person

You'll probably suit H6 if you're:

  • Creative but commercially minded
  • Comfortable working across several client accounts
  • Organised and able to manage deadlines
  • Confident researching unfamiliar industries
  • A strong written communicator
  • Able to turn technical or complicated information into clear content
  • Comfortable speaking with clients
  • Happy to suggest ideas rather than simply wait for instructions
  • Interested in understanding how marketing supports sales
  • Keen to develop your skills across social, email and content

Attention to detail is particularly important. You'll often be representing our clients publicly, so accuracy, spelling, brand consistency and quality all matter.

B2B Experience

A significant proportion of our work is within B2B industries, including logistics, transport and other specialist sectors.
Experience creating B2B content – particularly on LinkedIn – would therefore be a major advantage.
You don't need to know these industries already. What matters is being able to understand a client's business, identify what their customers care about and turn that into interesting marketing content.

Location & Working Pattern

This is a hybrid role, combining remote working with time working alongside the H6 team and attending client locations when required.

You must therefore be able to travel to Manchester and the surrounding area.
We're open to both:

  • Part-time – for the right person looking for flexibility.
  • Full-time – for someone looking to take on a broader role as H6 continues to grow.

We're more interested in finding the right person than forcing the role into a particular working pattern.

Why Join H6?

H6 is a growing marketing agency where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact.
This isn't a role where you'll spend all day doing one small part of the marketing process.

You'll get exposure to:

  • Social media strategy
  • Content creation
  • Email marketing
  • Design
  • Video
  • Client strategy
  • Campaign planning
  • Reporting and analytics
  • B2B marketing
  • The relationship between marketing and sales

As H6 grows, we want this person to grow with us and take increasing ownership of client accounts and marketing delivery.

Essential

  • Professional social media marketing experience
  • Experience managing business social media accounts
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn
  • Experience with Instagram and Facebook
  • Strong Canva skills
  • Good copywriting and written communication
  • Understanding of social media analytics
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to travel to Manchester when required

Desirable

  • B2B marketing experience
  • Agency experience
  • Email marketing experience
  • HubSpot experience
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience
  • Video editing experience
  • Photography or videography experience
  • Experience creating Reels/short-form video
  • Experience reporting on marketing performance

Applying

Alongside your CV, we'd love to see examples of social media accounts, campaigns, designs or content you've worked on.

Tell us what you were responsible for and, where possible, what impact your work had.

We're particularly interested in seeing examples of B2B social media and LinkedIn accounts you've helped develop.
