Description

About Us

Gravity Global is the world’s most awarded marketing consultancy specialising in brands operating in complex markets. Led by strategy, innovation, technology, data, and creativity, we create brand-and-demand marketing programmes that drive transformational growth for our clients.

With 14 wholly owned offices across the US, Europe and APAC, and our Global Talent Hubs in emerging markets, you can build a truly global career in a rapidly scaling organisation that’s shaping the future of marketing.

At Gravity Global, we believe our people are our greatest strength. We’re a collective of creative thinkers, strategic storytellers, and data-driven innovators united by one mission – to deliver exceptional work that makes an impact. We’re growing fast – across continents and disciplines – and we’re looking for passionate individuals who want to make a difference: for our clients, our teams, and the world around us.

We are looking for a Social Media Director to lead regional or divisional social media strategy, turning global direction into clear plans, governance, and measurable outcomes across clients, markets, and teams. This person will act as the senior link between the Global Head of Social Media and the wider social media team, ensuring strategy is implemented through strong planning, cross-functional alignment, and consistent delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Regional Planning

  • Translate global social media vision into regional, market, or divisional strategies that align with client objectives and broader business priorities.
  • Define annual social media plans, priorities, and success measures for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Establish clear strategic direction across channels, audiences, content approaches, and engagement models to improve performance and consistency.
  • Ensure regional or divisional strategies reflect platform developments, audience behaviours, and local market nuance while maintaining alignment with global standards.
  • Provide senior guidance on campaign planning, channel investment, and social media integration across broader marketing and communications activity.

Operational Leadership & Governance

  • Lead the implementation of frameworks, playbooks, workflows, and standards that improve quality, consistency, and efficiency across the social function.
  • Own governance across approvals, compliance, reporting standards, escalation routes, and brand protection within the role’s area of responsibility.
  • Maintain operational oversight of delivery across teams, ensuring work is on time, on brief, commercially viable, and aligned to Gravity standards.
  • Resolve delivery, capacity, or quality issues quickly, escalating significant commercial, reputational, or operational risks where required.
  • Drive disciplined use of social platforms, publishing tools, analytics systems, and performance processes to support effective delivery and decision-making.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, develop, and support Senior Social Media Managers, Social Media Leads where applicable, Social Media Managers, and specialist contributors across the social media function.
  • Set clear expectations for accountability, performance, behaviour, and decision-making across multi-team structures.
  • Build team capability through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and structured development aligned to evolving client and platform demands.
  • Support workforce planning, resource allocation, and organisational design to ensure the right capability is in place to deliver current and future demand.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across teams and markets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
