Social Media Executive
Location: Isle of Wight
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility required for events/meeting)
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a creative and social-savvy Social Media & Content Executive to join a leading business based on the Isle of Wight and bring the brand to life across social media.
This is a role for someone who lives and breathes social, someone who understands what makes people stop scrolling, knows the latest trends and formats, and can turn a great idea into engaging content from concept through to shooting, editing, copywriting, and publishing.
Responsibilities as a Social Media Executive:
- Channel Management: Oversee day-to-day activity across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Content Planning & Strategy: Develop and maintain an engaging content calendar spanning brand storytelling, product launches, lifestyle content, and reactive trends.
- End-to-End Content Creation: Shoot and edit scroll-stopping short-form video (Reels/TikToks), Stories, and photography using tools like CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Copywriting: Craft platform-tailored copy that captures the distinct Mermaid brand tone of voice.
- Trend & Cultural Monitoring: Spot emerging viral trends, trending audio, and creator opportunities to produce timely, reactive content.
- On-Location & Campaign Coverage: Attend events, shoots, and brand activations to capture real-time content and support creator/influencer partnerships.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor social metrics and platform analytics to evaluate performance, optimize future content, and refine creative approach.

Requirements:
- Experience: 1–2+ years in dedicated social media management or content creation, backed by a strong portfolio or examples of past work.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience shooting and editing short-form video and photography independently using modern mobile editing tools or software.
- Platform & Trend Expertise: Deep understanding of user behavior across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube, alongside a natural instinct for digital culture.
- Copywriting & Tone: Strong written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across diverse platforms.
- Mindset & Organization: Highly organized with the ability to manage structured content calendars while remaining agile for reactive trend opportunities.
- Flexibility: Full UK driving licence preferred, with flexibility to travel for shoots, events, and brand activations as needed.

Benefits:
- Competitive salary: £30,000 – £35,000
- Hybrid working model (minimum 2 days on-site)
