Freelance Social Media Executive / Manager
Freelance | 2-3 days per week or c16 hours per week | Start ASAP in September
We’re looking for a Social Media Executive or Manager to join a small, highly creative team in London on a freelance basis. You must be able to be present in their central London office when working.
This is a great opportunity for someone with some experience in social media who is passionate about creating brilliant content, keeping on top of trends and making sure the detail is never missed.
The Role
This isn’t a full-time position, but we’re looking for someone who can become a regular and reliable part of our clients' team. We’re anticipating c2 days, or around 16 hours per week, depending on workload. You’ll support the day-to-day running of social accounts, working alongside a brilliant Senior Social Media Manager.

What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the planning and delivery of social content across multiple platforms
- Creating, adapting and scheduling social-first content
- Writing engaging, on-brand social copy
- Managing content through native platforms and social scheduling tools such as Sprout Social
- Supporting community management and keeping on top of incoming activity
- Helping with influencer campaigns
- Keeping up to date with social trends, platform developments and best practice
- Supporting social shoots, including pre-production planning and post-production organisation
- Supporting the wider social team with day-to-day client work
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised and genuinely passionate about social media.
You’ll have:
- Ideally 1-2 years’ experience in social media, whether agency, in-house or freelance
- A portfolio showcasing social-first content across different formats
- Strong knowledge of social platforms and an understanding of what makes content work
- Experience creating content using tools such as Canva Pro and CapCut
- Confidence with basic filming equipment such as gimbals and microphones
- Excellent attention to detail! You’ll be someone who spots the typo, checks the link and makes sure everything is where it needs to be
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A proactive, can-do approach and the ability to work independently
- Good communication skills and confidence working with clients and creative teams
- A genuine interest in social trends, emerging formats and the constantly changing digital landscape
