Social Media Executive
Location: London, UK
Salary: £29,000 to £35,000 per year, depending on experience
Working pattern: Four days per week in the office and one working remotely
Meantime Communications is looking for a Social Media Executive to help plan, create, and deliver social media activity for the agency and its international B2B customers.
This would be a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone at the beginning of their career who wants to build practical experience in social media and public relations.
Previous agency experience is not essential, but you will need to be a strong writer, well organised, interested in digital communications, and keen to learn.
Meantime is a specialist B2B public relations consultancy working with businesses across the global logistics, supply chain, and tech industries.
You will work closely with experienced public relations, digital, and design colleagues, taking on more responsibility as your skills and confidence develop.
What you will do
- Develop social media content plans for Meantime and its customers, based on their objectives, audiences, campaigns, and industry developments.
- Write content for LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and other relevant platforms, adapting your approach for different audiences and channels.
- Work with Account Managers to identify opportunities for social media to support public relations campaigns, announcements, events, and other communications activity.
- Get to know customers and their businesses, and help advise them on social media activity.
- Develop content ideas and work with Meantime’s design team on graphics, templates, and other visual material.
- Schedule approved content, monitor customer accounts, and help ensure campaigns are delivered accurately and on time.
- Track engagement, reach, audience growth, and agreed performance measures, helping the team understand what is working and where activity can be improved.
- Have opportunities to attend exhibitions, conferences, customer visits, and other industry events in the UK and overseas, including supporting live social media coverage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
