The opportunity
Northreach is partnering with a growing organisation to appoint a Social Media Executive.
This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and commercially aware social media professional to take ownership of day-to-day content across key digital channels.
Working closely with the wider marketing team, you will help plan, create and publish engaging content, support integrated campaigns and use performance insights to continually improve audience reach and engagement.
The position offers genuine responsibility, creative freedom and a clear opportunity to develop towards a more senior social media role.
Key responsibilities
Social media management
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of content across Instagram, TikTok and other relevant social platforms.
- Plan, create, schedule and publish engaging, platform-specific content.
- Maintain a consistent and appropriate tone of voice across every channel.
- Keep content calendars accurate, organised and aligned with wider marketing priorities.
- Monitor emerging trends, formats and platform developments.
- Identify opportunities to test new content ideas, channels and approaches.
Content planning and creation
- Translate marketing campaigns into engaging social-first content.
- Develop a balanced content mix covering products, brand activity, educational themes and audience engagement.
- Create and edit short-form video content suitable for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- Coordinate content supplied by internal teams, external partners and customers.
- Prepare clear creative briefs for photography, video and design requirements.
- Ensure content is reviewed, approved and scheduled accurately before publication.

Community and collaboration
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across marketing, brand, creative and partnerships.
- Identify suitable user-generated and third-party content for use across social channels.
- Support interactive activity, including polls, questions, competitions and community-led campaigns.
- Adapt existing assets into content that feels natural and relevant to each platform.
- Help ensure social content remains responsive to audience interests and conversations.
Reporting and optimisation
- Monitor content and channel performance using relevant analytics tools.
- Produce regular updates covering engagement, reach, audience growth and content performance.
- Identify successful themes, formats and publishing approaches.
- Make practical recommendations based on performance data.
- Apply insights to future content planning and campaign activity.

About you
We are looking for someone who ideally brings:
- Around two to three years’ experience within social media, digital marketing or content creation.
- Practical experience managing Instagram, TikTok or similar channels for an organisation or brand.
- Confidence planning, creating, scheduling and publishing content.
- Strong short-form video creation and editing skills using CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar software.
- Excellent copywriting skills and a good eye for visual storytelling.
- The ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience interpreting social media data and using it to improve performance.
- An understanding of how content should be adapted for different platforms and audiences.
You will be creative, organised and proactive, with the confidence to suggest new ideas and take responsibility for delivering them. You should enjoy working collaboratively while remaining comfortable managing your own workload.
Experience gained within a fast-moving, customer-facing or digitally led organisation would be useful but is not essential.
