JOB BAND: C
CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed-term Contract, Full-time / Attachment, Full-time
DEPARTMENT: Childrens & Education CBeebies (CCOG / TV Social)
LOCATION: Salford – Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £30,000-£40,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Join the BBC Children’s & Education team as a Social Media Executive, helping to create social-first content and deliver creative excellence with a strategic vision. You’ll be managing content across multiple social media accounts to build awareness of CBeebies brands and CBeebies Parenting.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
- Manage campaigns to raise awareness of well-loved CBeebies brands and our more recent Parenting offer
- Work with internal teams on commissions, shoots, and projects to produce social-first content and edits
- Work with content creators and influencers to produce social-first content that resonates with our audience
- Use audience data and analytics to inform decision-making and performance in line with KPIs
- Keep abreast of current trends and competitor activity

Essential Criteria
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience managing branded social accounts is key – you’ll have in-depth understanding of social platforms and algorithms
- A self-shooter with proficient editing skills using Adobe Suite (Photoshop and Premiere Pro)
- An understanding of social analytics and how to use data to inform decision-making
- The ability to work with wider teams to brief content, develop ideas, and communicate performance to stakeholders
DESIRABLE
- Experience working with influencers, content creators, or production companies
- Experience in location-based production, and end-to-end content delivery with confident self-shooting skills
