Social Media & Content Executive
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - Tuesday to Thursday in the office)
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 + Benefits
We're recruiting on behalf of an exciting consumer brand looking for a creative Social Media & Content Executive to join their growing marketing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their marketing career, ideally in their second role, who lives and breathes social media. If you're confident creating engaging content, happy to get in front of the camera and know what makes people stop scrolling, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll have the opportunity to shape the brand's social presence, work with influencers and content creators, and support CRM campaigns that keep customers engaged.
The Role
Reporting into the Marketing team, you'll be responsible for creating authentic, engaging content that builds brand awareness and drives meaningful engagement across social channels.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. One day you could be filming content for TikTok, the next building relationships with influencers or scheduling email campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, create and publish engaging social content across multiple platforms
- Confidently appear on camera to create authentic brand content
- Film and edit short-form video content for channels including Instagram and TikTok
- Develop content that builds engagement and strengthens the brand's online community
- Manage relationships with influencers and content creators from outreach through to campaign delivery
- Identify new partnership opportunities with creators that align with the brand
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and content formats
- Support the planning and scheduling of CRM and email campaigns using a third-party platform
- Monitor content performance and use insights to improve future campaigns
- Work closely with the wider marketing team to support campaigns and promotional activity

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
