Feed Us Up CIC is a UK-based Community Interest Company that connects organisations with surplus resources to communities facing real and pressing needs. The organisation partners with businesses, local groups, and redistribution networks to turn surplus food and materials into meaningful social impact, reducing waste while supporting vulnerable people. In the UK, Feed Us Up CIC helps surplus food reach older individuals and people experiencing isolation. Internationally, including in Haiti, the organisation supports schools, healthcare facilities, and communities with equipment, educational materials, and medical supplies that foster long-term development. Role Description
The Social Media Executive (Volunteer) will help strengthen Feed Us Up CIC’s online presence and engage supporters across digital platforms. This is a non-paid remote volunteer role and includes:
- Planning and posting content on social media channels
- Drafting captions and stories that highlight projects
- Sharing updates from partners and communities
- Monitoring engagement, responding to comments and messages where appropriate
- Supporting digital campaigns that raise awareness of the organisation’s mission
The role also involves collaborating with team members to align content with broader marketing and communication goals and suggesting new ideas to reach and grow online audiences.

Qualifications
- Ability to manage and grow social media channels, with skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation.
- Understanding of Digital Marketing and Marketing principles to support campaigns and audience engagement.
- Strong Communication skills, with clear, inclusive, and culturally sensitive written language.
- Comfort working remotely, managing time effectively, and collaborating with a dispersed volunteer team.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools and basic analytics is beneficial.
- Interest in community development, social impact, or non-profit work; prior experience in a charity or CIC setting is an advantage but not required.
