About the Role
At Cardfactory and Funky Pigeon, we're looking for a creative and social-first Social Media Executive to help bring both brands to life across our social channels. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed Brand and Social Media team and play a key role in delivering a new social media strategy across two well-known brands. You'll have the opportunity to create engaging content, grow online communities and help shape how Cardfactory and Funky Pigeon show up across social media.
Working both behind and in front of the camera, you'll have the freedom to bring fresh ideas, creative thinking, and a social-first mindset to the team. Based at either the Cardfactory Support Centre in Wakefield or the Funky Pigeon office in Bristol, this role offers hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office, alongside regular travel across the UK to stores, events, and content shoots.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll support the delivery of social media activity across Cardfactory and Funky Pigeon, creating engaging content that drives brand awareness, customer engagement, and community growth. Working across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn, you'll help keep our brands relevant, visible, and connected with customers. The role will involve planning, creating, and scheduling a variety of content, from social posts and graphics through to Reels and short-form video. You'll work closely with internal teams and creative agency partners to support campaigns, product launches, and key seasonal moments. You'll be confident both behind and in front of the camera, creating content that taps into social trends, cultural moments, and influencer-led activity. You'll also use performance insights to continually optimise content and identify new opportunities to grow engagement.

What We're Looking For
- Experience creating, managing, and scheduling content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Strong content creation and editing skills, including video content and social copywriting
- Confidence working both in front of and behind the camera
- A good understanding of social media trends, influencer marketing, and platform best practice
- A proactive, creative, and organised approach with the ability to manage multiple projects
