About the Internship
Meri & Rime Magazine is offering a voluntary, unpaid Social Media Internship designed for students, recent graduates and emerging professionals who want to gain practical experience in digital media, social media and the luxury lifestyle publishing industry.
This is a task based learning opportunity, rather than a traditional fixed hour internship. There are no fixed working days or working hours. Interns will receive tasks according to their role, interests, ability and progress, allowing them to manage their time alongside their studies, graduation or other commitments.
The internship provides an opportunity to understand how a modern international magazine develops its social media presence, promotes editorial content, engages audiences and builds its digital brand.
Key Responsibilities
The Social Media Intern may assist with:
- Supporting the planning and scheduling of social media content
- Researching relevant trends, topics, hashtags and emerging digital conversations
- Identifying interesting personalities, creators, brands and stories for potential editorial coverage
- Assisting with Instagram and other social media content
- Writing captions and short-form social media copy
- Supporting the promotion of magazine interviews, features and digital stories
- Monitoring social media engagement and audience responses
- Researching potential collaborations and social media opportunities
- Helping maintain and grow the magazine's digital presence
- Supporting creative ideas for campaigns, features and social media series
- Keeping up to date with developments in fashion, luxury, lifestyle, culture, entertainment and digital media

Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from motivated individuals who are interested in social media, journalism, digital publishing, fashion, luxury, lifestyle and communications.
You do not necessarily need previous professional experience. We are particularly interested in candidates who are:
- Creative and enthusiastic
- Comfortable using social media platforms
- Good at researching and finding interesting content
- Able to communicate clearly in written English
- Organised and reliable
- Interested in international media and digital publishing
- Willing to learn and take initiative
- Able to work independently in a remote environment
Students from relevant areas such as media, journalism, marketing, communications, public relations, fashion, business or digital media are welcome, although applications are not limited to these subjects.
Flexible, Task Based Learning
There are no fixed working hours or mandatory working days for this internship.
Tasks will be assigned based on the magazine's requirements and the intern's level of experience. Interns can organise their own schedule and complete assigned work within agreed deadlines.
The aim is to provide practical exposure rather than simply observing how a media organisation operates. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to real projects and develop skills that can be useful when applying for future employment or further opportunities.

Duration
The minimum internship commitment is 4 weeks, while the maximum duration is 12 weeks. Interns may complete the programme within this period depending on their availability and mutual agreement with Meri & Rime.
Letter of Recommendation
Upon successful completion of the internship, interns may receive a Letter of Recommendation from Meri & Rime Magazine.
The recommendation will be based on the individual's ability, commitment, quality of work, development and overall progress during the internship. Completion of the internship does not automatically guarantee a recommendation.
