Experienced Social Media Lead for the World's Biggest Sustainability Film Festival & Awards, London at Curzon Soho
Fri 6th Nov (2-7pm).
Should be available on 30th Oct (10.30-11.30am) as well for technical rehearsal.
What difference will you make?
At least 85% of people who first came to learn about the UN SDGs via the film festival were not aware of those at all, until now! This can give you an idea of the need for this initiative to educate the common man about the UN SDGs, its significance and the importance of inspiring them to act on the UN SDGs.
You will capture the spirit of the event. Your initiatives will ensure that the film festival gets even more notoriety and visibility, thus improving its ability to educate more people about the UN SDGs, boost the festival's public profile, increase the festival's participation, and enhance the support from individuals and organisations.
What are we looking for?
An experienced PR and social media professional with experience of posting at live events on all SM channels;
- Have a smart phone with an excellent camera suitable for social media content creation.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for public relations.
- Social media expert and can manage SM posts and respond instantly.
- Can monitor social media channels for maximum audience engagements.
- Time keeping.
- Open to feedback.

What will you be doing?
We are seeking volunteer Social Media Hosts with proven experience of posting live on social media during the screenings (at Piccadilly Lights) and red carpet event (Curzon Soho) of the 2026 Big Syn International Film Festival, the World's Biggest Sustainability Film Festival & Awards.
You should be based in London
So far, the festival has reached over 50M people in over 120 countries. Through relevant shorts, features, animations, documentaries, CSR videos and Public Service Videos or Charity videos, the festival advocates the United Nations 17 Global Goals and also celebrates the work of UK's marginalised filmmakers as a key highlight.

OSCAR, BAFTA and EMMY award-winners, as well as other luminaries from film and media, sustainability, and policy have been part of the festival and have supported it since inception. Winners from the festival have eventually won OSCARS and EMMY awards. We are looking forward to welcoming over 300 charities, global brands, filmmakers and celebrities to the event.
The Role
Working with executive team, the volunteer would assist and on occasions lead and coordinate the following;
- Capture interviews of leaders, celebrities and all participants at the awards using their smart phone.
- Cover the red-carpet awards function to be attended by OSCAR and BAFTA winning celebrities, leaders in sustainability, leading industry professionals and many more.
- Ability to post/ tag/ collaborate simultaneously on all SM channels i.e. post all interviews and awards snippets on all SM channels during the screenings and awards on behalf of the organisation.
- Enhancing participation for the festival and garnering support for festival by increasing public engagement through innovative means.
