Social Media and Content Manager

Hershesons | Fitzrovia, London | £45,000 per year

Hershesons is one of the most distinctive names in hair. Built from our London salons, editorial heritage and a clear belief that great hair should be easier, we are building a serious global product business.

We are looking for someone to own all our social channels, set the content strategy and shape the creative direction. You will bring our products, salons, stylists and community together through content people want to watch, save and share.

This is a hands-on role within the wider Hershesons team, working alongside the Paid Social Media Manager, COO and CEO. You will write the hooks, plan the shoots, film, edit and publish.

What you will own

Social strategy and content calendar

  • Own all Hershesons social channels, with a clear role for each platform and a particular focus on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Build and run the content calendar, balancing product launches, salon stories, education, brand campaigns and timely cultural moments.
  • Lead weekly content planning and prepare ideas, assets and copy for sign-off. Keep scheduling, publishing and deadlines on track.

Creative direction and content creation

  • Set the look, feel and tone of our social content, keeping it distinctly Hershesons while making it right for each platform.
  • Develop concepts, write captions and briefs, and film and edit content yourself, including higher-quality brand stories, product demonstrations and salon content.
  • Work with Luke, our stylists and creators on camera. Review hooks, edits and storytelling before publishing, making sure every piece earns attention and feels like Hershesons.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who we are looking for

You know how to make organic content travel, and have plenty of previous examples to prove it. You know your best work off by heart: the video, the hook and the numbers.

  • You have personally created multiple videos with 50,000+ organic views, ideally with examples at 100,000+ too. You can show the results and explain exactly what you made.
  • You can break down why a video went viral: the angle, audience, opening hook, pacing, retention and reason people shared it. You use that understanding to develop the next idea.
  • You write strong hooks and scripts, film and edit yourself, and understand TikTok as its own platform, with its own formats and audience behaviour.
  • You have owned social channels and content calendars, worked with influencers and PR agencies, and kept delivery on track.
  • You read the data yourself and change what you make because of it. Hair, beauty or fashion experience and familiarity with Klaviyo are a plus.

How to apply

Send your CV or LinkedIn and a portfolio with multiple videos reaching 50,000+ organic views, including any at 100,000+. Show the results, your role and why each travelled. Pick one Hershesons product, write five hooks and tell us which you would back and why.
