Role Description

The Social Media Manager provides key support to the Senior Channel Manager and operates at the intersection of fans, brand, and revenue. They are responsible for the quality, creative ambition, and commercial value of the team's social publishing with a clear understanding of how great content grows fanbases, builds brand equity, and drives commercial returns for Williams.

The Social Media Manager leads the planning, creation, and publishing of best-in-class content across Williams’ social channels, including:

  • Support the planning, creation, and publishing of content across all social media channels, in line with Williams’ overarching social and content strategy and content pillars.
  • Provide experienced support to channel strategy, audience growth planning, and fan engagement frameworks, with a clear understanding of how social drives brand value and revenue for the team.
  • Demonstrate a fluent understanding of fans, brand, and revenue as interconnected levers: how fan-first content builds reach and loyalty, how brand standards protect equity, and how both translate into commercial value for partners.
  • Provide commercial and creative social expertise to Williams’ Partners, attending partner meetings with an agency mindset, proactively pitching new ideas when relevant, and ways to elevate campaigns beyond the brief.
  • Champion rigorous quality control on every asset before publish, following Williams’ social content proofing process in full, checking partner logos, spelling, grammar, channel specifics, rights, and brand compliance.
  • Own the partner check within the proofing flow: confirming contractual obligations, logo accuracy, Partner Manager approval, and performance-metric logging for every partner asset.
  • Act as brand guardian for social, ensuring every post reflects Williams’ narrative, tone, and audience targeting, and meets Brand quality guidelines ahead of sign-off.
  • Set an exceptionally high bar for creative and visual quality across every post, holding the wider content team to the same standard.
  • Bring deep expertise in both organic and paid social best practice, using paid media to extend reach and performance of organic content and partner campaigns.
  • Work closely with the Fan Engagement team to use data and insight to inform creative decisions and to document the commercial value of content to partners and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Creative, Communications, Partnerships, and wider Marketing teams to develop content that meets brand and business objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
