About Us
Nobody’s Child is for the free thinkers, the dreamers, and the go-getters. Born in 2015, we’ve spent the last decade creating clothes that feel as good as they look for people that embrace individuality, live with purpose, and want to leave the world a little better than they found it. It’s been 10 years of creativity, growth, and bold ideas, and the values that guide us haven’t changed.
About You
Nobody’s Child is looking for a Social Media Manager for a 12-month maternity cover, to own and grow our organic social presence across the UK and emerging international markets.
You will be responsible for our organic social strategy and execution, with a clear focus on growing our audiences, increasing engagement, and creating social-first content that builds relevance and brand awareness.
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes social and understands what makes audiences follow, engage, and share. This is a hands-on role, that will combine strong strategic thinking with a highly creative, hands-on approach to content creation – generating ideas, shooting and editing content, and finding smart, cost-effective ways to keep Nobody’s Child showing up with fresh and engaging content every day.
Day to Day
- Owning and evolving the organic social strategy, setting clear objectives and plans to drive follower growth, reach, engagement, and brand awareness.
- Owning the social calendar and day-to-day management of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest.
- Developing platform-specific strategies, optimizing content, formats, and cadence for how audiences behave on each channel.
- Developing content, from reactive, lo-fi, and behind the scenes content through to styling videos, product storytelling, reels, TikToks, and stories.
- Making full use of our in-house studio, product, and people to create a consistent flow of engaging content without relying on large-scale shoots or significant production budgets.
- Developing creative, cost-effective content formats and recurring social franchises that can be produced quickly and consistently.
- Spotting opportunities to react quickly to trends, cultural moments, and conversations, turning them into relevant content for Nobody’s Child.
- Continually test new creative formats, hooks, and content territories to understand what drives follower growth, engagement, shares, and reach.
- Leading our community and engagement strategy, creating a genuine two-way relationship with our audience and encouraging conversation and participation.
- Building UGC and customer content into the channel strategy, finding creative ways to make our community part of the brand.
- Developing our organic social approach for new international markets, understanding where global content can scale and where locally relevant content or approaches are needed.
- Owning organic social reporting and KPIs, using performance data to understand what content is working and why, and applying those learnings quickly.
- Working closely with Brand, Influencer, PR, Digital Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure organic social is connected to the wider brand direction while remaining distinctly social-first.
- Actively contribute to our company’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility by integrating sustainable practices into everyday work. This includes minimizing waste, promoting responsible sourcing, supporting our circular economy initiatives, and encouraging customers and colleagues to make choices that align with our sustainability values. Every team member at NC plays a role in helping us reduce our environmental impact and create a positive legacy for our communities and the planet.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
