Role Description

The freelance Social Media Manager will be responsible for planning, creating, and publishing content across Elliot’s Construction Ltd’s social media channels. This full-time, on-site role in Widnes involves managing day-to-day social media activity, including scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, responding to comments or messages, and maintaining consistent brand messaging. The role includes developing content strategies that highlight ongoing projects, company updates, safety initiatives, and community involvement, while optimizing content for reach and engagement. The Social Media Manager will analyze performance metrics, provide regular reports, and collaborate with site and office teams to gather updates, images, and stories that support the company’s online presence.

  • Ability to plan and execute Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) activities across major platforms.
  • Strong Communication and Writing skills for clear, professional, and engaging content.
  • Experience in developing and implementing effective Content Strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Familiarity with basic analytics tools to track performance, report results, and recommend improvements.
  • Comfort working on-site in Widnes, collaborating with construction and office teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience managing social media for businesses, preferably in construction, engineering, or related industries.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt content to different audiences and platforms.
  • Relevant education or training in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field is beneficial.
