About the Role
At Individual Restaurants, we're home to some of the UK's most loved hospitality brands, from iconic Italian dining experiences to exciting new concepts. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a talented Social Media Manager to bring our brands to life across digital channels and help tell the stories behind our restaurants, people and guest experiences.
Reporting to the Group Head of Marketing, you'll lead the social media strategy across multiple hospitality brands, balancing both national brand campaigns and local restaurant activity. From content creation and community management to performance analysis, you'll play a key role in shaping how our brands are seen and experienced online.
Working closely with Operations, Food & Beverage, PR, creatives and our digital agency partners, you'll create content that captures the quality and personality of our brands while driving engagement, awareness and bookings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver social media strategy across multiple brands within the Individual Restaurants portfolio.
- Create engaging content plans that align with brand campaigns, seasonal moments, launches and guest experiences.
- Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all social channels.
- Capture, create and direct content across restaurants, including photography, video and real-time social moments.
- Build and manage content calendars, ensuring a regular flow of engaging and high-performing content.
- Monitor community engagement, responding to guests and fostering meaningful conversations online.
- Track social media performance, reporting on engagement, reach, audience growth and campaign effectiveness.
- Use insights, trends and competitor analysis to inform future content and identify growth opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with our social and digital agency partners, wider marketing team, operations and PR team to support broader business objectives.
- Stay at the forefront of social media trends, platform updates and emerging content formats.

About You
We're looking for someone who combines creativity with commercial thinking and understands how to turn great hospitality experiences into engaging social-first content.
You'll likely have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience managing social media for hospitality, lifestyle, leisure or consumer-facing brands.
- Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok etc.
- Experience creating, capturing and directing high-quality photo and video content.
- A strong understanding of visual storytelling, brand tone of voice and digital trends.
- Experience working with influencers and user-generated content.
- Confidence analyzing performance data and turning insights into action.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple brands and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Flexibility to capture content during restaurant trading periods, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Hospitality experience is highly desirable, and a passion for food, drink and guest experiences is essential.
- The candidate must be able to commute to, or be based in Manchester, UK.
