Social Media Manager – Voy
We're looking for a Social Media Manager to take full ownership of Voy's organic social channels, with a particular focus on Instagram and TikTok.
This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role. We're looking for someone who lives and breathes social, understands what makes people stop scrolling, and knows how to turn trends, conversations and cultural moments into content that feels native to the platform and right for Voy.
You'll be responsible for getting content out the door consistently — from spotting a trend in the morning, to coming up with an idea, self-shooting it, editing it and getting it live. You'll own the day-to-day channel and be constantly looking for ways to make it better, more engaging and more effective.
We're not looking for someone who wants to sit behind a strategy deck. We need a doer. Someone scrappy, proactive and commercially minded who is happy getting stuck into every part of social and who genuinely cares about growing an audience, building community and driving impact for the business.
Responsibilities
Own Voy's organic social
- Take day-to-day ownership of Voy's organic social channels, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
- Build and manage a consistent content calendar, ensuring we hit our target posting cadence every week.
- Own the process from idea through to publication — ideate, shoot, edit, write, publish and optimise content yourself.
- Create a varied mix of reactive, entertaining, educational, community-led and brand content.
- Be proactive about what we should be talking about, rather than waiting for a brief.
- Constantly look for ways to make the channel more engaging, more relevant and more effective.
Be genuinely social-native
- Have your finger firmly on the pulse of what's happening across TikTok, Instagram and the wider social landscape.
- Spot emerging trends, formats, creators, conversations and cultural moments early.
- Understand how to put a Voy spin on a trend without making it feel like a brand trying too hard to be cool.
- Know the difference between content that works on social and content that has simply been repurposed for social.
- Experiment constantly with new formats, hooks, editing styles and ways of telling stories.
- Be comfortable reacting quickly when something starts gaining traction.
- Work closely with the Brand team on wider campaigns, finding smart, social-first ways to flex ATL ideas and bring them to life organically across our channels.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Make the content
- Self-shoot and self-edit a significant proportion of the content you create.
- Get comfortable creating content quickly and scrappily using whatever is available — phone, tripod, office, creators, customers, colleagues or the world around you.
- Turn ideas around quickly without getting stuck in unnecessary production processes.
- Write strong hooks, captions and on-screen copy that make people want to keep watching.
- Create content that feels native, human and entertaining, rather than overly polished or corporate.
- Work with our wider creative team when bigger production or design support is needed, but be able to make things happen independently.
Build community and engagement
- Own the relationship with the Join Voy community across our social channels.
- Actively engage with comments, conversations and relevant trends.
- Understand what our audience cares about, what they respond to and what they want more of.
- Turn audience questions, comments and conversations into new content opportunities.
- Find creative ways to encourage genuine conversation, participation and sharing.
- Build a social presence that people actually want to follow — not just a feed of branded content.
Drive impact for the business
- Understand that organic social is not just about views and likes — it should build awareness, strengthen the brand, grow our community and ultimately contribute to business growth.
- Use performance data and audience insight to understand what's working and, more importantly, do more of it.
- Test different formats, hooks, topics and approaches and continually improve.
- Know when to double down on something that's working and when to move on quickly from something that isn't.
- Track key metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth, watch time and other relevant indicators.
- Regularly share learnings and recommendations with the wider team.

What We're Looking For
You'll be someone who:
- Is a self-starter and a natural doer. You see something that needs doing and get on with it.
- Is scrappy, resourceful and comfortable working quickly.
- Can take an idea from a thought in your head to a published TikTok without needing five people involved.
- Is genuinely social-native and spends time on the platforms because you actually enjoy them.
- Has a strong instinct for what will make people stop scrolling.
- Understands trends and, crucially, knows how to make them work for a brand.
- Is comfortable self-shooting and editing content.
- Is highly organised and can consistently deliver against a content cadence.
- Is naturally curious and always looking for the next idea, format or opportunity.
- Is commercially minded and cares about engagement and business impact, not vanity metrics.
- Is comfortable testing, failing, learning and trying again.
- Has the energy and determination to keep pushing the channel forward.
- Can work independently and take real ownership, while knowing when to bring others in.
- Is equally happy making a TikTok on their phone as they are talking through a longer-term social opportunity.
Most importantly...
We want someone who gets stuck in.
You won't be sitting on the sidelines telling other people what content they should make. You'll be making it.
If you see a trend you know Voy could own, we want you to run with it. If a post isn't working, we want you to figure out why. If the calendar is looking a little light, we want you to fill it. If the community starts talking about something interesting, we want you to turn that conversation into content.
You'll have the autonomy to make things happen, move quickly and build something that genuinely grows — while creating content that can educate, challenge perceptions and ultimately help people make meaningful changes to their health and lives.
