Job Title: Social Media Manager
Salary: Up to circa £55,000 depending on skills and experience
Location: UK or Ireland based. This role will require some regular time spent at our HQ in Stockton-on-Tees.

Role Overview
The Social Media Manager is responsible for leading the social media strategy across Remi Cachet and Additional Lengths, ensuring the brands grow in authority and engagement across professional and consumer audiences.
This role is social-first and brand-led, with a strong emphasis on building and nurturing Remi Cachet’s professional hairdresser community. The role provides strategic direction, leadership and oversight of content, community engagement and professional partnerships, while managing and developing a team of Social Media Executives responsible for day-to-day execution.
Some of the main responsibilities of this role include:
Social Media Strategy & Direction
- Define and own the organic social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and emerging platforms.
- Set clear objectives, content pillars and platform roles aligned to brand, trade and growth goals.
- Oversee weekly and monthly content planning, ensuring consistency, quality and strategic alignment.
- Work cross-functionally with brand, digital and education teams to ensure social supports wider campaigns and initiatives.

Content Leadership & Storytelling
- Act as strategic lead for social content, guiding the balance between in-house creation, stylists, educators and community-led storytelling.
- Provide direction, briefing and creative oversight for social-first content shoots, campaigns and activations.
- Set standards for visual identity, tone of voice and storytelling across all organic channels.
- Oversee content creation with repurposing in mind, ensuring assets support paid social, CRM and web where required.
- Support the development of founder, educator and spokesperson content, aligned to brand positioning and thought leadership.
Leadership & Team Management
- Line manage and develop two Social Media Executives, setting clear expectations, priorities and objectives.
- Provide guidance, coaching and feedback to ensure high-quality execution, consistency and professional growth.
- Clearly define ownership between strategy, leadership and execution to ensure efficient and effective working.
Community, Performance & Reporting
- Set the approach to community engagement and brand voice across social channels, with execution supported by the Social Media Executives.
- Oversee sentiment monitoring, community insights and identification of advocates and UGC opportunities.
- Own social and community reporting, tracking KPIs aligned to brand growth, engagement and community participation objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Report into the Head of Brand & Marketing, working closely across departments to deliver cohesive brand storytelling.
- Collaborate with the founder to support agreed social and storytelling initiatives, ensuring clarity on roles, expectations and time commitment.
- Act as a key internal stakeholder for social and community activity, providing expertise and leadership across the business.
About You
We’re ideally looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in a Social Media, Community or Brand role, ideally within the hair, beauty or similar industry
- People-management experience, including coaching, feedback and development of direct reports
- Demonstrable success owning organic social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, with clear growth, engagement and brand impact
- Strong background in brand-led, social-first storytelling, with the ability to translate brand positioning into culturally relevant content
- Experience working with professional or trade communities
- Hands-on experience building engaged professional communities, stylist networks or brand advocacy programmes
- Proven ability to brief, direct and oversee content creation, including shoots, campaigns and social activations
- Passion for community-building and creating meaningful relationships within the professional hair industry
