ABOUT ATHX GAMES
ATHX Games is one of the fastest-growing functional fitness event companies in the world, delivering a high-intensity and immersive hybrid fitness experience that challenges and inspires athletes across all abilities. With a headline partnership with adidas, 20 events in 2026, and over 40 global events planned for 2027, we are building something genuinely world-class. This is a brand built on community, energy and genuine athletic ambition and the Social & Influencer Manager is the person who makes it feel alive online, every single day, consistently, coherently and highly effectively.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Social Media Manager owns the full end-to-end strategy and execution of ATHX's multi-platform social channels, creator ecosystem, and Activator/Influencer programme. The role exists to turn our community into a repeatable, measurable engine, converting attention into event entries, affiliate gym sign-ups and returning athletes.
Operating at the intersection of brand, performance and culture, you will own the channels and the creators and be measured on entries and community growth, not just on follower count. The role is responsible for content planning, creator management, social storytelling, and partner brand integration (e.g. adidas, gym partners, event partners). It plays a key role in supporting ATHX's expansion across the UK, EU, US, ME and APAC. Flexibility is essential as priorities evolve with event cycles, launches and market expansion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Platform Strategy & Management
- Develop and execute platform-specific strategies with a focus on audience growth, engagement and channel performance.
- Manage day-to-day operations across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and region-specific accounts.
- Ensure consistent brand tone, messaging and visual identity across all outputs.
- Decide where ATHX shows up next: the platforms, formats and cultural moments we can enter credibly, and the ones we should ignore.
Content Planning, Production & Execution
- Own the social content calendar, planned at least six weeks ahead and mapped to the event spine, campaign arcs, partner commitments and always-on.
- Brief the Content Creators, freelancers and external partners to a standard that removes rework — one brief, one round of feedback, delivered on time.
- Develop and extend evergreen series such as Guide to ATHX, so newcomers can self-serve the answers that currently arrive by DM.
- Plan event capture in advance: shot lists, priority moments and turnaround times agreed before anyone travels.
- Shoot and edit directly when the moment needs it — this role captures as well as commissions.
- Maintain an asset library that gets content reused across social, CRM, affiliate gyms and partners rather than used once.
- Sequence the calendar with GTM, brand and CRM so the same story lands in the same week across every channel.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Influencer, Creator & Affiliate Management
- Lead influencer, creator and affiliate strategy to support brand campaigns and always-on growth.
- Source, recruit and manage creators, athletes, ambassadors and affiliates aligned to the ATHX brand.
- Own relationships end-to-end: briefings, deliverables, compliance and long-term partnerships.
- Manage the ATHX Awin affiliate programme, including performance tracking, approvals and publisher recruitment.
- Grow the roster out of the community itself: competitors, coaches and affiliate gym owners as repeat contributors, so the roster scales with the network rather than with budget.
- Oversee gifting, paid partnerships and content usage rights.
- Repurpose creator content into the wider social ecosystem.
- Report on performance (reach, engagement, sales impact, EMV) with actionable insights.
- Manage creator budgets, negotiate fees and ensure ROI.
Activator Programme Ownership
- Manage the ATHX Activator Programme across onboarding, briefings, deliverables and content output.
- Coordinate tickets, gifting, partner integration and event-day involvement.
- Ensure activator content aligns to ATHX's brand objectives and social strategy.

- Lead the integration of partner brand stories into social content and creator activity (e.g. adidas global campaigns, gym partners, event sponsors).
- Balance partner requirements with ATHX's brand-first creative approach.
- Support co-branded campaigns through social storytelling, creator activations and platform execution.
Community Management & Engagement
- Develop and implement engagement strategies to foster strong community interaction.
- Own comments, DMs, UGC and tagged content across all channels, with defined response times that hold through event weekends.
- Activate community-led initiatives that build loyalty and belonging.
- Support hyper-local relevance by collaborating with emerging creators, gyms and city partners.
- Set moderation standards and a clear escalation route, acting as first responder on reputational issues surfacing in comments or DMs.

- Manage local contributors, creators and ambassadors to ensure cultural relevance.
- Shape city-specific social presence through content, creators and community touchpoints.
Analytics, Reporting & Performance Optimisation
- Track and interpret platform performance data, identifying insights and optimisation opportunities.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
- Proven experience running social channels, particularly Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, for a sport, fitness, events or consumer lifestyle brand, with a demonstrable track record of audience and engagement growth.
- Hands-on content skills - able to shoot, edit and ship, not only commission and direct.

- Strong brand and copy instincts - able to hold a consistent tone of voice across every channel.
- Data-literate - comfortable using platform analytics and performance metrics (including EMV) to inform decisions and steer strategy.
- Highly organised - able to run a content calendar across a busy, multi-market events calendar.
- Community-first mindset - comfortable owning comments and DMs and acting as first responder on reputational issues.
Desirable
- Experience within the functional fitness, endurance sport or mass-participation events space.
- Experience working on campaigns with major brand partners (e.g. adidas).
- Familiarity with paid social campaign management.
- Experience launching social channels and communities in new markets.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Ownership of the channels, creators and community that make ATHX feel alive online.
- A role at the heart of a brand scaling from 20 events in 2026 to 40+ globally in 2027.
- A competitive salary and package commensurate with experience.
- The chance to travel to and cover world-class events across Europe and the US.
- A creative, ambitious team to work within, reporting directly to the Head of Brand.
- The opportunity to grow with a brand that is scaling fast and going global.
