About Us

smol is on a mission to change the face of consumer brands and businesses by bringing super effective, eco-friendly products at value for money prices. We believe everyone should be able to make easy swaps that are better for them, the planet, and their pockets.

Since launch, smol has taken the household cleaning market by storm. We are already the fastest growing and most positively reviewed brand in the laundry, dishwash, fabric conditioner and surface spray categories and we’ve got so much more planned.

Having received Series B investment in 2021 and B Corp certification at the end of 2023, our team is focused on combining fast growth with being a force for positive change and impact in all that we do.

In Summary

As a Social Media Manager at smol, you will be responsible for growing, managing, and developing the organic social media channels. Working alongside the social media team, you will ideate fresh ideas to bring the strategy to life and execute creative ideas to reach new and engaged audiences.

The challenge is to connect consumers with smol’s mission, telling compelling stories in ways distinctive to smol. We want you to help us demonstrate the challenger brand we are, to inspire informed consumer choices - the powerful wins of choosing smol. We set a high bar in terms of the quality of our strategy and content - we want to be best in class.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social media strategy, analytics, creative briefing, and content creation.

What Does the Role Involve?

  • Owning and delivering smol’s organic social media strategy across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Developing monthly content calendars and campaign plans aligned with brand and growth targets.
  • Hands-on creation of short-form video (filming/editing on mobile) and reactive social content.
  • Engaging with our community to build brand advocacy and monitor social sentiment.
  • Reporting on campaign KPIs and applying data-driven insights to refine future output.
  • Using performance analytics to continually test, optimize, and scale reach and engagement.
  • Ensuring all social content complies with UK advertising standards (ASA/CAP Code) and green claims guidelines.

You Will Need/Be

  • Demonstrable experience managing organic social channels and producing creative campaigns.
  • Strong on-camera presence and confidence shooting/editing short-form video content.
  • Solid understanding of platform analytics and social growth strategies.
  • Passion for sustainability, internet trends, and authentic storytelling.

The Smol Print

This role is a remote, UK-based position.

Applicants must have current work authorization in the UK.

The role is remote/home working but will involve regular travel to meet up with team members, so ability to travel to London and South-East is a must.
