Social Media Manager — Live Events & Festivals
Reading (hybrid, one day a week in the office) · Full-time · £32,000–£40,000 DOE
Our client is one of the UK's most exciting live events businesses — outdoor music festivals, a summer concert series and a large-scale winter light trail running across multiple cities. They're looking for a Social Media Manager to own the digital presence across the whole portfolio.
This is a hands-on content role. You'll plan and create content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and LinkedIn, run the content calendar around ticket launches and lineup announcements, manage the community and DMs, work with a paid social specialist on campaigns that actually sell tickets, and get stuck into influencer and partnership outreach. Best part: you'll be on the ground at event days capturing real-time content and being part of the action.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll be shooting, editing, writing and posting yourself, not just scheduling other people's work. If you've run social for an events brand, venue, festival or hospitality business and want your content seen by tens of thousands of attendees, this is a good one.
