WE'RE HIRING: SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER & CONTENT CREATOR
North West Birmingham
Very competitive salary
Full-time
We’re a rapidly growing company entering an exciting new chapter, including a move into fantastic brand-new premises in North West Birmingham. And now we want to seriously raise the bar on social.
We’re looking for an ambitious Social Media Manager & Content Creator to join our busy marketing team and take ownership of social across Trucks Direct, GreenPower Forklifts, and MiMA Forklifts UK.
You'll work alongside our busy marketing team, talented sales team, and digital agency, so you'll have plenty of expertise, ideas, and great content opportunities around you.
The challenge
It's a big one:
- Grow our social activity and help make us the best in our industry across LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Our focus is firmly on quality over quantity. We want to create high-quality, original content that people in our industry genuinely want to watch, follow, share, and engage with.
- This is a hands-on role. We're looking for someone who wants to be out creating content, not sitting behind a desk waiting for content to arrive.
- You should be comfortable picking up a camera or phone, getting out into the warehouse or onto a customer site, spotting an opportunity, and turning it into great content.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
