What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will cover all social media activity across all platforms, including editorial (print and online), events, sales and awards.

  • You will work closely with all Decanter product editors and the Premium, Events and Awards Marketing Managers to plan and run the day-to-day social media operations of the brand.
  • You will maintain consistency in brand tone, image, and style across all platforms, whilst creating innovative and exciting new content, driving Decanter forward to new audiences.
  • You'll have excellent social media experience across all platforms, and be an expert in developing thumb-stopping social-friendly content with attention grabbing tactics.
  • A keen interest in, and knowledge of wine, is also essential as the role involves taking content and repurposing it for social media.
  • Experience with paid campaigns is also preferable.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • A proven ability of executing successful social strategies including growth tactics, customer retention, increased engagement and best in class content
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful organic and paid social media campaigns and content creation, Content creation, scheduling and channel management. This will include creating impactful social media content, tailored across our social media channels.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills with the ability to see different points of view and bring a story to life.
  • Excellent demonstrated ability to design, create and implement content specifically for a range of social media platforms that engages audiences and drives brand awareness and growth including video content creation.
  • Experience with social analytics tools and paid-for social media campaign dashboards (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Looker Studio)
  • Preferably WSET qualified to Level 2 or similar
  • Hands-on experience with content planning tools, project management tools, graphic design tools (canva/Photoshop) and basic video editing software.
