Overview

We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and highly hands-on Social Media Manager to lead social media execution and content across both founder communications and brand communications.

This person will be responsible for turning ideas, stories, expertise, and brand priorities into compelling social content — from content calendar to filming, editing, writing, publishing, and analyzing performance.

The ideal candidate understands how to build a strong brand presence, but they are equally comfortable picking up a camera, editing a Reel, creating a carousel, writing a strong hook, or shaping a founder's thought into content that feels authentic and platform-native.

Founder Communications

  • Translate the founder's ideas, expertise, experiences, opinions, and stories into compelling social content on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Substack.
  • Help shape the founder's voice and point of view across social platforms while maintaining authenticity.
  • Develop recurring founder-led content series, formats, and storytelling frameworks.
  • Capture and edit founder content, including short-form video, interviews, talking-head content, behind-the-scenes moments, and more polished brand storytelling.
  • Work closely with the founder to identify stories, ideas, and perspectives worth turning into content in various formats
  • Ensure founder content feels personal and authentic rather than overly scripted or corporate.

Brand Communications

  • Own the day-to-day social content strategy across key platforms, including Instagram and emerging channels.
  • Translate brand positioning, campaigns, launches, and business priorities into social-first storytelling.
  • Create content that balances education, entertainment, storytelling, community, and brand building, and inspiration.
  • Ensure the brand maintains a consistent voice, visual identity, and point of view across channels.
  • Identify cultural trends and conversations that create relevant opportunities for the brand to participate.
  • Develop testing frameworks around formats, hooks, creative styles, topics, and messaging.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Community & Audience

  • Manage the day-to-day social presence and engage with the community.
  • Monitor comments, DMs, mentions, and relevant conversations.
  • Identify recurring questions, interests, and audience insights that can inform future content.
  • Build relationships with customers, creators, partners, and relevant communities.
  • Understand what the audience is responding to and turn those insights into new content ideas.

Content Creation & Editing

This is a hands-on content creation role. You will be expected to take content from idea to finished asset.

  • Concept, shoot, edit, and publish social-first content.
  • Film and capture content independently using a phone and/or camera.
  • Edit short-form video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Stories, and other platforms.
  • Create and edit carousels, static posts, graphics, and other social formats.
  • Add captions, subtitles, text overlays, transitions, music, sound, and other edits appropriate to the platform.
  • Repurpose longer-form content into multiple social assets.
  • Develop strong hooks and opening frames designed to capture attention.
  • Maintain a high standard of visual quality while keeping content feeling native and authentic to social.
  • Manage the content production process from initial concept through final edit and publishing.
  • Use tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, or equivalent editing platforms.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5+ years of experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing, brand communications, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing both personal/founder-led and brand social communications.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, short-form video, and social-first storytelling.
  • Strong hands-on video editing skills — you should be able to take raw footage and independently turn it into polished, engaging social content.
  • Excellent understanding of pacing, hooks, storytelling, captions, music, transitions, and what makes short-form content work.
  • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to write in distinct voices.
  • Strong visual instincts and an understanding of brand identity.
  • Comfortable filming content independently and directing others when needed.
  • Comfortable working directly with founders and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong editorial judgment — you know what is worth posting, what needs refinement, and what should be left on the cutting-room floor.
  • Ability to balance authenticity with strategic brand considerations.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple content streams and deadlines.
  • Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, or comparable creative tools.

  • You can recognize a great moment while filming it.
  • You can take raw footage and make the edit yourself.
  • You can write the hook, build the carousel, publish the post, look at the performance, and use what you learned to make the next piece better.

Most importantly, you know how to make a founder and a brand feel human, interesting, and worth following.
