The Important Bits

Freelance retainer, £1,300 - £1,600 / month DOE. Around 1+ day per week (c. 36-40 hours/month), with room to grow. Initial 3-month engagement.

Location: UK (Remote)
Engagement: Freelance / part-time contract
Retainer: Monthly, £1,300 - £1,600 DOE (initial 3 month engagement with goal of longer term)
Reporting to: Growth Marketing Manager

The Role

OneUp is growing. We’re leaders in helping recruiters understand their numbers and gamifying performance - and we’re looking to launch the next generation of products that’ll change how recruiters and salespeople look at their data.

We’ve got a strong product-market fit, 400+ customers and a product recruitment agencies love.

What we don’t have is the fully-fledged brand personality we’ve always wanted: confident, playful, punchy and empowering.

That’s where you come in! We need someone to own our brand on LinkedIn and (soon) Reddit.

An extension of the team, not a pair of hands. This is about owning organic social end-to-end and running with it, and taking our content, campaigns and product stories, and turning them into engaging scroll-stopping social we’re proud of.

What You’ll Own

šŸ“± Organic Social (LinkedIn and Reddit)

  • Own our organic LinkedIn presence day-to-day, and help us create presence on Reddit
  • Build a social content strategy and content pillars from our existing brand strategy, messaging and campaigns
  • Deliver a minimum of 3 high-quality LinkedIn posts per week
  • Understand the B2B audience - and know how and when to have fun with it (we’re allergic to boring, corporate LinkedIn nonsense…)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

šŸŽ¬ Content Creation & Repurposing

  • Create the assets, not just the plan - social graphics and basic video editing (clips, captions, subtitles)
  • Repurpose our catalogue - webinars, blogs, product releases, event footage - into social-first content (don't worry, you won't be starting from a blank page - we'll feed you the raw footage and source material)
  • Spot and adapt trends and pop-culture moments so they work for OneUp
  • You won't be on your own for the heavy lifting either - we work with a video freelancer on a monthly retainer who's yours to call on for more involved editing, animation and motion work

šŸ“ˆ Growth, Engagement & Community

  • Grow our following and engagement against quarterly benchmarks
  • Build community - get into the comments and engage with relevant conversations, not just broadcast
  • Spot opportunities to join the conversation, not just post into the void

šŸ¤ Working as an Extension of the Team

  • Live in Slack with us - we’ll drop campaigns, blogs, product news and meeting notes into a shared channel
  • Come back to us with ideas and briefs, not questions about what to do next
  • Bring your own way of working - we trust freelancers who have one

We’re looking for someone who brings ideas to the table, gets our buy-in and runs with them.

✨ What We're Looking For

  • Live and breathe LinkedIn - and know it’s a place where you’re allowed to have fun šŸ’ƒ
  • Are a genuine self-starter who doesn’t need hand-holding
  • Have a clear, confident way of working (with the boundaries to match)
  • Can create the assets, not just the strategy - including video
  • Are confident, opinionated and don't mind telling senior leadership what to do (their LinkedIn posts are essentially yours to direct!)
  • Are happy bringing ideas to the table, then owning the execution
  • Can serve as a social media sage to the wider business (fielding questions, offering advice and helping individuals grow their presence)
  • Use AI and social tools to work faster and smarter

šŸš€ What You Bring

  • 4+ years in social media, with strong B2B product or SaaS experience (rather than professional-services or agency-style B2B)
  • Any B2C experience is a plus - we like people who can flex between audiences!
  • A portfolio of LinkedIn-native content that proves you get the platform
  • Confident video editing for social - clips, captions, basic transitions/animations, subtitles
  • The ability to create social graphics and assets
  • Your own toolkit and ways of working

šŸ™Œ How We’ll Work Together

  • Freelance, part-time contract (expect this to be roughly 36-40 hours/month)
  • At least 3 LinkedIn posts per week
  • Agreed monthly retainer (DOE)
  • Quarterly performance benchmarks for follower growth and engagement
  • Fully remote and fully integrated into the team via Slack - you'll live in our shared channels and liaise with the business directly
  • Room to grow - as the relationship develops, so can the scope: more video, more channels (Reddit’s on the roadmap), and more hours
