About the Role
We're partnering with a leading events business to recruit a Social Media Manager responsible for shaping the social presence of some of the UK's most recognised consumer and trade events.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of social strategy, content creation and paid social campaigns across a diverse portfolio of brands. Working closely with marketing, commercial and event teams, you'll deliver engaging content, grow online communities and drive registrations, ticket sales and audience engagement through both organic and paid activity.
The role can be based in London or Brighton, operating within a hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies across multiple event brands
- Create engaging content from concept through to filming, editing and publication
- Manage social channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
- Own social content calendars and campaign planning
- Plan, manage and optimise paid social campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok
- Monitor performance metrics and use insights to enhance campaign effectiveness
- Collaborate with internal teams, exhibitors, sponsors and partners to maximise reach and engagement
- Support and mentor junior team members, sharing social media expertise and best practice
- Attend events and create live content when required

Requirements
- Proven experience in social media management within events, hospitality, media, publishing, food & drink or a similar consumer-facing environment
- Strong understanding of both organic and paid social media strategies
- Experience running paid social campaigns, including audience targeting, A/B testing and optimisation
- Ability to develop content strategies that drive audience growth and commercial outcomes
- Strong analytical skills with experience using social performance data to inform decision-making
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior colleagues is advantageous
- Creative mindset with a passion for emerging social trends and platform developments
